Mission Toron
Finally making it to the outskirts of Serpintine City the group are relived.
“Finally we made it here!” Cole says with excitement, “Yeah and my battle with Donna is almost here too!” Ash says clutching his fist, “Me too!” says Cole, “Oh that’s right, you have to battle Donna too, for a gym medal,” says Ash,
“Cole how are you gonna do that when you only have 1 pokemon” Ella says, Cole realises this “Ah man…” he sighs,
“So you’re gonna battle Donna for a gym medal” a voice says from behind them, the group turn to see a young trainer with a light green Mohawk walking with a Herovor, “Ah yeah…who are you?” Cole asks,
“My names Nate, I’m also gonna battle Donna for a gym medal too” he says, “Oh hi Nate I’m Cole” Cole says bowing, Ash, Brock and Ella introduce themselves too, “Nice Herovor, I just caught one recently” Ash says pulling out a pokeball and letting Herovor out, the two Herovor greet each other,
Nate asks Cole what Pokemon he is planning to use against Donna, Cole sighs again, “Umm he only has Purrlit” Ella says, just then Purrlit pops out of it’s Pokeball “Purr, rrr!” it says with a smile, “You only have one Pokemon” Nate says, “I suggest that you catch another one before your battle”, “I know, I know I just haven’t found one to catch” Cole says.
Just then a man running by stops at the group, “Have you guys seen a wild Toron around?” he asks, “Ah no, why?” Ash asks, “Cause there’s been sightings of a wild Toron around here and they are rarely seen around this part of the region” he says, “Sorry no we haven’t” Brock says, the man then starts running again trying to find Toron,
“Toron what Pokemon is that?” Cole says pulling out his Pokedex and searches for it,
“Toron, the Rough Pokemon, Toron are always seen in dry, desert like places, Toron are known to jump into battles no matter how big the Pokemon” the Pokedex says,
“Wow Toron sounds tough” Cole says, “And I’m gonna catch it!” Ash says, “Not if I do” says Nate, “Wait I want to catch it” Cole says, Nate, Ash and Cole all look at each other, and then run off to find Toron, leaving Ella and Brock standing there confused, “All three of them want to catch Toron, this doesn’t look good” Ella says and the start running to catch up with them.
Team Rocket who were listening in on them from the bushes, “Maybe we should find that Toron and catch it” James says, “Toron being a ground type would be good against Pikachu” Meowth says, “Then lets find this Toron” Jesse says and Team Rocket head off to find Toron.
Thr group and Nate are running down the road when they hear a loud crash, they all stop “What was that?” Ella says and they go to where to sound was coming from, the peak out of the bushes to see Toron using a Roll Out attack on a big rock, smashing it into tiny pieces, “Wow that’s one strong Roll Out attack” Brock says, “I’m gonna catch it!” says Ash,
“Pikachu, are your ready?” Pikachu nods and the group come out of the bushes, “Toron we want to battle!” Ash shouts out to it, “Tor…” Toron says and turns around and looks at them and sees Pikachu ready to battle and Toron nods,
“Pikachu use Iron Tail!” Pikachu runs up and uses Iron Tail on Toron, but Toron just stands there and uses Solid Skin, and Iron tail hits Toron but does no damage, “What was that?” Ash says, Nate says “Solid Skin it’s a rock type attack, it raises defence in a pokemon” “That iron tail did nothing” Brock says, “Right Pikachu use Volt Tackle” Ash says,
Pikachu charges up and uses Volt tackle on Toron, but Toron again uses Solid Skin, which Pikachu bounces off sending it flying back, “Pikachu use Quick attack!” Ash shouts, Pikachu goes in to attack again, but Toron uses Roll Out to dodge Pikachu’s attack and then turns and hits Pikachu, and Pikachu is out of the battle.
“I’m next!” Nate says stepping forward, he pulls out a Pokeball from his waist bag, he enlarges it and throws it, in a flash of white light a Lotad comes out, “Lotad!”
Nate and Lotad are ready to battle “This shouldn’t be too hard, since Lotad has the 2 type advantages” Nate says, “Lotad use Water Gun!” Nate calls, Lotad jumps up and uses water gun, but of course Toron dodges it using Roll Out, it rolls across the ground and quickly does a sharp turn and rolls back and hits Lotad, Lotad falls to the ground, but it’s not out, “Lotad use Absorb” Nate calls out again, Lotad gets up and sends out a glowing ball that hits Toron, draining it of energy, “Yes!” Nate shouts as it hits, Nate pulls out a Pokeball from his bag and enlarges it, “Go Pokeball!” he says as he throws the ball, the ball hits Toron sucking it inside, the ball falls to the ground and rocks back and forth, everyone is awaiting to see if Nate has captured Toron, the ball stops, but all of a sudden it bursts open, and Toron is not caught! “Oh man that was so close!” Nate says in disappointment, Toron charges at Lotad and uses take down, knocking Lotad out,
Nate returns Lotad to it’s Pokeball, “You did good Lotad,” he says putting the pokeball back into his bag, “My turn!” Cole says with Purrlit at his side, “Are you ready Purrlit” Cole asks and Purrlit smiles,
Toron is also ready and is pumping with excitement from all the battles it’s had, “Purrlit use Iron Tail!” Cole calls out, Purrlit’s tail glows and it jumps in to attack, just then a net falls upon Toron, “Huh what’s going on!” Cole says, he looks up to see a giant Meowth balloon floating above them, “HAHAHAHA!” a laugh is heard,
“Prepare from trouble, cause here it comes,
Make it double, cause this is fun…”
“Shut it Team Rocket, enough with the motto already!” Ash says, Jesse gets mad because they never get to finish the motto anymore, “Let Toron go!” Cole shouts out,
“Sorry twerp, but we’ve got Toron now” Meowth says pulling the net back up so it’s hanging beneath the balloon,
Ash looks at Pikachu but it’s in no state to battle, having been weakened by Toron, “Purrlit use Ember to get Toron out of the net” Cole calls out to Purrlit, Purrlit nods and uses ember, but it’s ember isn’t strong enough to reach them in the air,
Nate steps in “I’ll help” he says as Herovor stands beside him, “Herovor, Razor Leaf now!” he says, Jesse throws out a pokeball to stop the attack, “Seviper stop that pest!” she says as Seviper comes shooting out of it’s Pokeball, Seviper charges in and uses Poison Tail on Herovor knocking it out, Nate runs over to Herovor and holds it, as Seviper goes to attack again, Ella throws out a pokeball and out comes Pruddy, “Pruddy Psychic attack now!” she says as Pruddy jumps over with it’s eyes glowing blue it blocks Seviper’s attack and sends it flying into Jesse, James and Meowth look at Jesse, “James do something!” she says with Seviper on top of her, James pulls out a pokeball and throws it, sending out Solshrub, “Go Solshrub use Energy Ball!” he calls out, Solshrub powers up and uses Energy Ball,
“Pruddy use Protect!” Ella says as Pruddy covers itself in a dome of energy to block the Energy Ball,
While Ella and the others battle Team Rocket, Cole and Purrlit climb a tree and get to the top, just out of reach of Toron in the net, Purrlit jumps onto Cole’s shoulder, “don’t worry Toron, we’ll save you” he says to Toron, Cole and Purrlit bend down and spring up and grab the net with Toron inside, Team Rocket feel the pull of Cole grabbing the net, “Hey get off there!” Meowth says as Team Rocket start shaking the balloon, trying to shake Cole off, But Cole and Purrlit hang on and won’t let go, “Purrlit use ember on the net now!” Cole says and Purrlit fires off an ember attack burning the net,
The net breaks and Cole, Purrlit and Toron fall, “Cole!” Ash calls as he fall, Cole grabs Purrlit and Toron as the fall back into the tree they climbed, Cole holding Purrlit and Toron falls through the tree and into a bush, the Brock, Ash and Nate run over and Help him up, Ella tells Pruddy to send Solshrub packing with a Psychic attack, Pruddy’s eyes glow again and it picks up Solshrub with the Psychic attack and sends Solshrub flying into James, Ash looks at Pikachu and Pikachu runs over and charges up, releasing a powerful Thunder Shock attack, zapping Team Rocket Blowing up their balloon, sending Team Rocket blasting off,
“We were so close!” Jesse says holding onto Seviper
“But as usual so far off!” James says hugging Solshrub
Meowth is hugging Wobbuffet, “Wobba!”
“Team Rocket’s blasting off again”
After the commotion has settled Cole and Purrlit are ready to battle Toron again, Toron and Purrlit stand opposite each other “I’m ready when you are Toron!” Cole says and Toron nods, Toron uses Roll Out and rolls straight up to Purrlit, “Purrlit jump up and use Iron Tail!” Cole calls out, Purrlit jumps up and it’s tail glows, just as Toron rolls beneath Purrlit, Purrlit swings its tail and hits Toron sending back to where it was, Toron was hit, Toron then uses a Mud Bomb attack, the ball of mud hits Purrlit sending it to the ground, “Purrlit get up!” Cole says, and Purrlit shaking manages to get up from the attack, “Right Purrlit, Ember now!” Cole says, Purrlit puts its head back and powers up an ember attack, Purrlit releases the attack like bullets of fire, each one hitting Toron sending it to the ground, “Cole, now’s your chance!” Brock shouts out to Cole, “Right!” Cole says, he pulls a Pokeball off of his belt and enlarges it, “Pokeball go!” he says throwing it,
The Pokeball flies over to Toron and hits it, the ball pops open and sucks Toron inside, the ball falls back to the ground and rocks back and forth, back and forth as the button on the ball flashes red, everyone waits in excitement, the ball still rocks back and forth, back and forth and stops, Cole walks over to the Pokeball and picks it up, “I…I just caught Toron!” he says holding the Pokeball, “Good catch Cole!” Ella says, “Yeah that was a nice one!” says Nate, “I caught my first Pokemon!” Cole says holding the Pokeball in the air as Purrlit runs around him.
The sun sets on the horizon and the group are ready to head to Serpintine City.
“It was nice meeting you guys but I think I’ll get some more training before I battle Donna” Nate says, “Yes it was nice to meet you too Nate” Ash says, “I’ll see you at the gym” Cole says “You bet!” Nate says, the group walk off waving bye as they head towards Serpintine City.
