Episode 11: A Day To Train!
It’s a bright and sunny day in the metropolitan called Serpintine City, as the group make their way through the busy streets with Ella walking out in front of the boys looking at a map,
“So where’s the Pokemon center?” Brock asks as Ella searches on the map,
“Well the city map says its right around…here!” she says turning and pointing at a building with a big PC sign on the front of it.
The group enter the Pokemon center and are greeted by Nurse Joy, “Welcome!” she says with a big smile on her face,
Brock jumps in front of the group and grabs Nurse Joy’s hand, with hearts in his eyes he leans over to be closer “Oh Nurse Joy we have finally arrived to see your beautiful face…” he says as Nurse Joy looks confused and blushes, Ella grabs Brock’s ear, “And now you will leave again” she says pulling him away, “Would you like to heal your Pokemon?” Nurse Joy says as a Chansey stands beside her smiling, “Yes please!” Cole says putting 2 pokeballs onto a tray, “Me too!” Ash says putting 2 pokeballs onto another tray, “Thank you, your Pokemon will be freshened up in no time!” she says pulling the trays away.
While they wait the group sit down and talk, “I can’t wait to battle Donna for a gym badge!” Ash says eagerly, clutching his fist in the air, “Me too, I know I’m gonna win my gym medal!” Cole says mimicking Ash’s pose, Ella who is reading a city attractions book, jumps up holding the book out in front of her face “I can’t believe it!” she says all excited, “What is it Ella?” Ash asks, “There’s a type contest coming up in Serpintine City!” She says excitedly dropping the book, and starts dancing, Brock picks up the book and starts reading it, “And it looks like it’s a grass type contest too” he says, “Hey Ella you can enter Lavenseed in it!” says Cole, “I need to get training then!” she says picking up her backpack and running out the door, “Wait for us!” Ash shouts out to her as she sprints out of the door, “Ash your Pokemon!” Cole shouts out to Ash whose running off after Ella, Ash stops in his tracks with a skid, “Oh that’s right!” he says, just then Nurse Joy returns with Ash’s and Coles Pokeballs, “There you go all healed and fresh!” she says handing them their trays, “Thank you nurse joy!” they say and head off to the backyard of the Pokemon center after Ella.
Ash, Brock and Cole arrive outside to see Ella standing with Pruddy and Lavenseed, “Now Lavenseed the first contest is for grass types so that means you!” she says as Lavenseed looks at her with wonder, “Now Lavenseed we gotta perfect our attack combinations” she says to Lavenseed standing on the ground looking confused,
“I’ll show you want I mean,” she says looking to Pruddy who is licking its paw, “Right Pruddy, lets show Lavenseed what I mean!” she says pointing at it, the boys arrive outside to see Ella and Pruddy train, “Okay Pruddy use Swift!” she shouts out and Pruddy jumps up onto her shoulder then jumps into the air, releasing a dazzling swift attack into the sky, Lavenseed watches with amazement, “Now Pruddy use Psychic!” Pruddy then uses Psychic on the swift attack and it grabs a hold of the swift attack and spins it around in a giant circle, the circle glows like a massive halo in the air and it drizzles down specks of light onto the ground, Lavenseed is amazed and is jumping for joy, as the boys watch with amazement too, “Wow Ella that was great!” Ash says to her, Ella smiles and then looks at Lavenseed; “Do you think you can try something like that Lavenseed?” she says to it, Lavenseed smiles and is ready to try.
Ella holds Lavenseed and throws it into the air, “Lavenseed use Bullet Seed on the ground!” she shouts to it, Lavenseed starts falling to the ground and releases glowing bullets from it’s mouth and starts hitting the ground, pushing Lavenseed into air even higher, spinning it around and around, “Wow!” Brock says, “Now Lavenseed Razor Leaf!” Ella calls out, while Lavenseed is still spinning from the Bullet Seed attack it releases waves of violet leafs spinning to the ground, Ella, Pruddy and the boys are stunned at the amazing show Lavenseed it putting on, “That’s…that’s amazing!” Ella says as Pruddy just stares with silence, Lavenseed stops the attacks and fulls back to the ground, Ella runs over and picks it up, “We are gonna win this contest for sure Lavenseed, that was amazing!” she says hugging it tightly, “I didn’t think Lavenseed had it in it, to do something like that” Brock says, “I know I was stunned too!” Ella says still holding Lavenseed, Cole turns to Ash, “Ash how about a double battle?” he asks and Ash is happy too.
Team Rocket who are disguised as cleaners are watching the group from a building beside the Pokemon center.
“That little Lavenseed has a lot in it doesn’t it” Jesse says wiping a window, “I guess its getting ready for the type contest that’s being held here” says James spraying the window with water, “There’s a contest in Serpintine City? What type is it for?” Jesse says as Wobbuffet stands beside here also wiping the window, “Well if the girl twerp is training Lavenseed, it must be for grass types” Meowth says scrubbing the window with a mop, “Grass types…I don’t have any grass types!” Jesse says angrily “But you do James give me your Solshrub to use in the contest!” She demands and James doesn’t have a say so agrees.
Back on the ground Ash and Cole have a double battle, “Are you ready Cole?” Ash asks and Cole nods his head with anticipation, Cole pulls out 2 Pokeballs and enlarges them and throws them out to the battle field, the Pokeballs burst open and out come Purrlit and Toron in a flash of light, Ash then pulls 1 pokeball from his belt and enlarges it, her throws out the pokeball and out comes Herovor, and Pikachu jumps off his shoulder and stands next to Herovor, “Lets battle!” Cole says,
“Purrlit Ember attack, Toron use Rollout!” Cole calls out to his Pokemon, Purrlit fires off and ember attack while Toron rolls up and spins on the spot to gather speed, Ash points out towards Cole “Pikachu use Quick attack to dodge the ember, Herovor use Head Butt to stop Toron!” he shouts out, Herovor starts running up towards Toron with it’s head held low and Toron and Herovor collide and send each other bouncing backwards to the ground, Pikachu uses it’s quick attack to dodge Purrlit’s ember attack, then Pikachu quickly runs up and strikes Purrlit causing it to fall to the ground,
Herovor and Pikachu get back into place in front of Ash and Purrlit and Toron stand before Cole, “You’re getting better at this” Ash says to Cole, Cole smiles and points to Purrlit and Toron, “Go Purrlit, Iron Tail, Toron you use Take Down” He shouts, Purrlit charges up it’s tail and it starts glowing bright and it starts running towards Pikachu and Herovor, Toron comes up from behind Purrlit charging with full speed, “Herovor Razor leaf, and Pikachu use Iron Tail!” Ash calls out, the leafs on Herovor’s back start glowing and then spinning leafs come flying out of them, Purrlit jumps up to dodge the attack, but Toron who is behind Purrlit gets struck by the razor leaf, taking it out of the battle, Purrlit falls towards Pikachu and swings it’s glowing tail down onto Pikachu, but Pikachu reflects the attack with it’s Iron Tail, Pikachu and Purrlit struggle with their tails, Ash smiles with the look of victory on his face, “Now Pikachu Thunder Shock!” he shouts out, Pikachu’s red cheeks start sparking and Pikachu charges up and releases a thunder shock attack through its tail and onto Purrlit, the Thunder Shock strikes and zaps Purrlit, taking it out of the battle, “Ash wins!” Ella calls out as Lavenseed and Pruddy jump for joy, Cole walks over to Purrlit with Toron by his side, Purrlit and Toron both have a sad and disappointed look on their face, Cole kneels down on the ground and pats Purrlit and Toron on the head,
“You did awesome Purrlit, you too Toron” he says to them, and they smile, “That was a great battle” Ash says to Cole, “You’re really getting good at it” Cole smiles and thanks Ash for the battle, “Who’s hungry?” Brock asks and Ash pats his stomach, “I could eat after that battle” he says, “Me too!” says Cole.
The group sit at a table and Brock places a plate full of delicious sandwiches down on the table, “Wow Brock they look great!” Ella says, “Yeah Brock, they look really good!” Ash says, and the group start eating, Pikachu and Paracaw eat out of a bowl full of Pokemon food while Herovor and Toron chomps down like there’s no tomorrow, and Purrlit and Pruddy share a bowl too, “I really can’t wait for my gym battle with Donna” says Ash clutching his fist in the air, “I can’t wait either!” says Cole, coping Ash, just then a familiar voice is heard coming from the backdoor of the Pokemon center, “Are you ready Ella?” the voice says, the group all turn around to see who it is, and find that it’s Trissy.
“Trissy, hi!” Ella says, and the boys say hi too, Trissy with her Eevee walk over to the group and she greets them too, “so are you ready for the contest Ella?” she asks Ella, “Of course I am, but how did you know I was entering it?” Ella says back, “Well I see a Lavenseed there, so I only assume that it’s yours”, Ella nods “are you entering the contest too?” she asks, Trissy also nods, “I’ll be entering with the Cheepip I caught, we’ve been training a lot” she says, Ella smiles, “That’s great maybe we’ll both make it to the finals and get to battle each other” she says, Trissy looks at Ella, “Why wait till then” she says, Ella looks confused, “what do you mean?” she asks, “I think she means, she wants to battle you Ella” Ash says, “Oh…Okay then!” Ella says, and Trissy smiles, “Then it’s settled!” she says.
Just like Cole and Ash’s battle, Ella and Trissy stand opposite each other, on the other side of the battle ground, Team Rocket who are on a break from window cleaning, watch them from above in a balcony, “Looks like the female twerp is gonna battle” Meowth says, “Good, maybe I can learn I thing or two on how the will battle for the contest” Jesse says as they watch over the side.
“How about we use 2 pokemon each?” Trissy says, Ella nods “That’s fine by me!” she replies, Trissy pulls a pokeball out of her bag and enlarges it “Lets go!” she calls out and throws the pokeball, the Pokeball opens up and with a big flash of light a little Purple pokemon comes out, “What’s that?” Cole says pulling out his Pokedex,
“Shellos, the Sea Slug Pokemon, Shellos colours differ from place to place, coming in many different colours and shapes” the Pokedex says, “So you caught a new Pokemon!” Ella says, “And it’s so cute!”
Ella then pulls out a Pokeball and enlarges it, “Come on out!” she calls and throws the Pokeball, the pokeball comes flying out onto the battle field and opens up and in a big flash of light out comes Pruddy, “Prruuu!” it says as it whips its tail around releasing sparkly lights, “Go Shellos use Mud Bomb!” she calls out, Shellos tilts its head back and releases a Mud Bomb attack from it’s mouth, the Mud Bomb comes flying towards Pruddy, “Pruddy use Quick attack to dodge it!” Ella calls out, Pruddy starts running towards the Mud Bomb but quickly dodges the attack by zipping around it, “Now Pruddy use Psychic” Pruddy’s eyes start glowing light blue and Shellos is hit by a Psychic blast sending it flying backwards to the ground, Pruddy wins! “Wow that was awesome Pruddy!” Ella calls out as he jumps for joy,
Trissy pulls out a pokeball and returns Shellos back into it, “Good job Shellos, maybe next time” she says putting it away, Trissy pulls out another Pokeball and enlarges it, “Lets go now!” she says throwing it onto the battle field, the Pokeball opens and out comes Cheepip, “Ah Cheepip!” Ella says, “Go Cheepip use Bullet Seed!” she calls out, Cheepip releases a wave of Bullet Seeds at Pruddy, “Pruddy look out!” she says, but Pruddy doesn’t manage to dodge it in time, Now Cheepip use Razor Leaf, Cheepip flaps its little green wings releasing a bunch of spinning Razor Leafs at Pruddy, “Pruddy use Psychic to stop it!” Ella calls out; Pruddy who is struggling to get itself back off the ground, uses Psychic and manages to stop the razor leafs, causing them to fall to the ground, “Pruddy use Quick attack!” Ella says and Pruddy charges at Cheepip, “Cheepip uses Bullet Seed again!” Trissy says, Cheepip uses Bullet Seed sending another wave of them out and, they all hit Pruddy stoping it in it’s tracks, “Pruddy no!” Ella says as Pruddy falls to the ground, “Pruddy…” Ella says with a hint of sadness, Ella returns Pruddy back to it’s Pokeball, “You did you’re best Pruddy and it was good!” she says to the ball, Ella puts the Pokeball back into her bag and pulls out another one, enlarging it, “Go Lavenseed!” she says throwing the Pokeball out, Lavenseed pops out of the Pokeball and jumps up with a huge smile on it’s face, “Cheepip lets end this fast, Wing attack!” Trissy says, Cheepip’s wings start glowing and it dives down to attack Lavenseed, “Lavenseed use Bullet seed on the ground like before!” Ella says, Lavenseed points it’s Bullet seed at the ground and starts firing away, sending it flying into the air, Cheepip’s attack misses Lavenseed, and Cheepip gets hit by the Bullet seed as it flies right through it, Cheepip falls to the ground but is not out of the battle just yet, “Lavenseed use Razor Leaf!” Ella calls out as Lavenseed starts falling to the ground, Lavenseed’s two violet coloured leafs glow and violet spinning leafs falls towards Cheepip, “Quick Cheepip get up and dodge it!” Trissy says, Cheepip gets up off the ground and flaps it’s wing to lift itself, and manages to dodge the attack, Lavenseed lands back onto the ground, “Cheepip now, Wing attack!” Trissy commands and Cheepip comes from behind Lavenseed and hits it with the wing attack, knocking it out of the battle, Trissy wins, Ella walks over to Lavenseed and picks it up, “You did so good Lavenseed, you’re so strong!” She says to it and hugs it, Trissy returns Cheepip and thanks it, Trissy walks over to Ella and Lavenseed and tells her it was a great battle and how strong Lavenseed is for it’s young age, “Thanks!” Ella says and Lavenseed smiles.
“Wow that Lavenseed it strong isn’t it” James says, “I don’t care, I’m still gonna beat it!” Jesse says with determination, “Hey you three, get back to work!” a man says from behind them, Team Rocket jump up and stand in line saluting the man, “Yes sir!” they say, and pick up their buckets and run back off to work.
As the sun is setting on the horizon the group are standing outside with their Pokemon, “My gym battle is tomorrow” Ash says, “So I think it’s time we had some rest for our big day” he says to Pikachu, Herovor and Paracaw, “My battle is tomorrow too” Cole says looking at Purrlit and Toron, “The contest is on the day after tomorrow” Trissy says, “And I’m ready for it” Ella says, and the group all smile and head off into the Pokemon center to rest for the big days to come.

Ella then pulls out a Pokeball and enlarges it, “Come on out!” she calls and throws the Pokeball, the pokeball comes flying out onto the battle field and opens up and in a big flash of light out comes Pruddy, “Prruuu!” it says as it whips its tail around releasing sparkly lights, “Go Shellos use Mud Bomb!” she calls out, Shellos tilts its head back and releases a Mud Bomb attack from it’s mouth, the Mud Bomb comes flying towards Pruddy, “Pruddy use Quick attack to dodge it!” Ella calls out, Pruddy starts running towards the Mud Bomb but quickly dodges the attack by zipping around it, “Now Pruddy use Psychic” Pruddy’s eyes start glowing light blue and Shellos is hit by a Psychic blast sending it flying backwards to the ground, Pruddy wins! “Wow that was awesome Pruddy!” Ella calls out as he jumps for joy,
Trissy pulls out a pokeball and returns Shellos back into it, “Good job Shellos, maybe next time” she says putting it away, Trissy pulls out another Pokeball and enlarges it, “Lets go now!” she says throwing it onto the battle field, the Pokeball opens and out comes Cheepip, “Ah Cheepip!” Ella says, “Go Cheepip use Bullet Seed!” she calls out, Cheepip releases a wave of Bullet Seeds at Pruddy, “Pruddy look out!” she says, but Pruddy doesn’t manage to dodge it in time, Now Cheepip use Razor Leaf, Cheepip flaps its little green wings releasing a bunch of spinning Razor Leafs at Pruddy, “Pruddy use Psychic to stop it!” Ella calls out; Pruddy who is struggling to get itself back off the ground, uses Psychic and manages to stop the razor leafs, causing them to fall to the ground, “Pruddy use Quick attack!” Ella says and Pruddy charges at Cheepip, “Cheepip uses Bullet Seed again!” Trissy says, Cheepip uses Bullet Seed sending another wave of them out and, they all hit Pruddy stoping it in it’s tracks, “Pruddy no!” Ella says as Pruddy falls to the ground, “Pruddy…” Ella says with a hint of sadness, Ella returns Pruddy back to it’s Pokeball, “You did you’re best Pruddy and it was good!” she says to the ball, Ella puts the Pokeball back into her bag and pulls out another one, enlarging it, “Go Lavenseed!” she says throwing the Pokeball out, Lavenseed pops out of the Pokeball and jumps up with a huge smile on it’s face, “Cheepip lets end this fast, Wing attack!” Trissy says, Cheepip’s wings start glowing and it dives down to attack Lavenseed, “Lavenseed use Bullet seed on the ground like before!” Ella says, Lavenseed points it’s Bullet seed at the ground and starts firing away, sending it flying into the air, Cheepip’s attack misses Lavenseed, and Cheepip gets hit by the Bullet seed as it flies right through it, Cheepip falls to the ground but is not out of the battle just yet, “Lavenseed use Razor Leaf!” Ella calls out as Lavenseed starts falling to the ground, Lavenseed’s two violet coloured leafs glow and violet spinning leafs falls towards Cheepip, “Quick Cheepip get up and dodge it!” Trissy says, Cheepip gets up off the ground and flaps it’s wing to lift itself, and manages to dodge the attack, Lavenseed lands back onto the ground, “Cheepip now, Wing attack!” Trissy commands and Cheepip comes from behind Lavenseed and hits it with the wing attack, knocking it out of the battle, Trissy wins, Ella walks over to Lavenseed and picks it up, “You did so good Lavenseed, you’re so strong!” She says to it and hugs it, Trissy returns Cheepip and thanks it, Trissy walks over to Ella and Lavenseed and tells her it was a great battle and how strong Lavenseed is for it’s young age, “Thanks!” Ella says and Lavenseed smiles.
“Wow that Lavenseed it strong isn’t it” James says, “I don’t care, I’m still gonna beat it!” Jesse says with determination, “Hey you three, get back to work!” a man says from behind them, Team Rocket jump up and stand in line saluting the man, “Yes sir!” they say, and pick up their buckets and run back off to work.
As the sun is setting on the horizon the group are standing outside with their Pokemon, “My gym battle is tomorrow” Ash says, “So I think it’s time we had some rest for our big day” he says to Pikachu, Herovor and Paracaw, “My battle is tomorrow too” Cole says looking at Purrlit and Toron, “The contest is on the day after tomorrow” Trissy says, “And I’m ready for it” Ella says, and the group all smile and head off into the Pokemon center to rest for the big days to come.
i really like this episode, especially the double battle between ash and cole
