Episode 12: The Biggest Fang!
It’s a new, bright and beautiful morning to an exciting day for the group as they make their way to Serpintine Cities gym, where Ash and Cole will face off against Donna to try and win the Rose badge for Ash and the Lucid medal for Cole.
“I can’t wait for my battle with Donna!” Ash says leading the pack, “he sure is hyped up for the battle” Trissy says to Ella who is walking along side her and Brock, “I can’t wait either!” Cole says mimicking Ash’s walk as they march through the cities streets, “Today is gonna be a big day” Brock says as the girls smile at the 2 boys marching, just then they stop, “Why have we stopped?” Ella asks, and Cole and Ash point to a big dome shaped building with the word ‘GYM’ on a sign, “This is it!” Ash says clutching his fist, “I’m so ready” Cole says still coping Ash’s poses, “Well it looks like we’re here” says Brock, just then the gyms doors open and out walks a familiar face, it’s Donna! “You made it!” she says with a big smile on her face, before anyone could say anything Brock jumps before and gets on one knee “My love, no distance can keep us apart, I will always find you…” he says until Pikachu zaps him and drags him away, “Ah of course Donna, we wouldn’t miss this for the world” Ash says, “So Ash are you ready to battle?” Donna asks, “I’ve been ready all morning!” he says as Pikachu jumps onto his back. “I’m ready too!” Cole says as he jumps in front of Ash, “Do you want to battle for a badge too Cole?” Donna asks, “Ahh…no, for a gym medal” he says, “Oh, then you won’t be fighting me” she says, “What!” Cole shouts in shock, “Then who do I battle for a gym medal?” he says,
“Haha Cole you will be fighting my father, since he is not the gym leader anymore, he will be taking the gym contestants battles” “How about we go inside and you can meet him!” Donna says and the group all go inside.
Inside the gym Donna takes the group through to meet her dad, they come across a large man with dark purple hair reading a book, “Excuse me dad I have some people for you to meet” Donna says, the man stands up and smiles,
“Nice to meet you all, my name is Vinny” he says, the group smile and greet Vinny,
“Dad, Cole here would like to battle you for a gym medal” Donna says and Vinny smiles at Cole “Oh is that right, of course” he says, and Cole gets all excited, “I can’t wait!” he says.
“Ash how about we battle first, then dad and Cole can fight after” Donna asks Ash and Ash agrees and the group walk out of the house to head to the battlefield.
Meanwhile Team Rocket are outside at a picnic area in a park, “What are we doing here Jesse, shouldn’t we be trying to get Pikachu?” James asks, “Not today” she says, “The type contest is tomorrow so I need to train with your Solshrub” she says, “Now give my your Solshrub” she says holding out her hand, James sighs and hands her Solshrub’s Pokeball, Jesse throws the pokeball into the air, and with a flash of light Solshrub comes out of the Pokeball, “Now Solshrub the contest is tomorrow so you need to listen to Jesse” James says to it and it nods, “Right lets get training!” Jesse says.
Back inside the gym, Ash and Donna get ready for the battle, and they stand opposite each other on the battlefield, while Ella, Cole, Brock, Trissy and Vinny watch from the sidelines.
“Okay Ash we will both use 3 pokemon” Donna calls out, “Okay!” Ash says.
Donna holds a Pokeball in her hand “Lets do this!” she says throwing it out onto the battlefield, the Pokeball comes flying through the air and opens up, and in a flash of light the pokemon emerges and it’s Roselia
“Roselia, okay then” Ash says pulling a pokeball from his belt and enlarging it, “Paracaw I choose you!” he says throwing the Pokeball out on the field, Paracaw comes bursting out of the ball and stands on the ground, “lets go Paracaw, use wing attack!” Ash calls out and Paracaw charges at Roselia with the wing attack, “Roselia dodge it and use Razor Leaf!” Donna calls out, Roselia dodges Paracaw’s wing attack with ease and uses Razor leaf on Paracaw hitting it, “Whoa that was a good hit!” Cole says “Paracaw use gust!” Ash calls out, but Paracaw freezes as it remembers the last time it used Gust it lifted in the air and got scared, Paracaw gets frozen in hear, “Now’s your chance Roselia, use Energy Ball!” Donna calls out and Roselia charges up a energy ball and blasts it at Paracaw and hits it directly, Paracaw falls to the ground, “Paracaw get up!” Ash shouts out to it, as it struggles to get up, it shakes but it’s too weak and it faints, “Roselia is the winner!” The referee says, Ash returns Paracaw to its Pokeball, “Maybe next time Paracaw” he says to it tucking it back onto his belt, “Right!” Ash says pulling another Pokeball from his belt, “Herovor lets go!” he says throwing the pokeball out, Herovor emerges from the pokeball, “Lets do this Herovor, use Head Butt!” Ash calls out and Herovor charges up to Roselia with amazing speed and hits Roselia knocking it to the ground, but Roselia is not out of the battle yet, and gets back up, “Roselia use magical leaf!” Donna calls out and Roselia releases a wave of glowing leafs at Herovor, “Herovor, deflect it with a razor leaf!” Ash calls out and Herovor releases it’s wave of Razor leafs, knocking the leafs to the ground, “Now Herovor use Take Down!” Ash calls out and Herovor charges up again and hits Roselia sending it falling to the ground once again, this time Roselia is out of the battle, “Herovor wins!” the referee says, Ash and Herovor are happy and get ready for the next Pokemon.
Meanwhile back with Team Rocket, James, Meowth and Wobbuffet sit on a bench and eat ice cream while Chimecho is wrapped around James’s neck and Jesse and Solshrub fight against Yanmega.
“Solshrub use Vine Whip now!” Jesse calls out and Solshrub releases it’s vines at Yanmega, but Yanmega dodges the attack and uses Sonic Boom, which comes straight for Solshrub, “Solshrub protect now!” Jesse calls out and Solshrub raises its arms and puts up a force field up and blocks the attack, “Now Solshrub, Energy ball!” Jesse calls out again, Solshrub powers up an energy ball and hits Yanmega, “my little Solshrub is so good!” James says licking his Ice cream,
“Jess may have a chance at winning the contest” Meowth says also licking his ice cream.
Back at the gym Donna is ready for her next Pokemon, “let go!” Donna says pulling another Pokeball out, and throwing it, “Aracinom I choose you!” she says and with a flash of bright white light a giant spider comes out of the Pokeball,
“What’s that?” Ash says pulling out his Pokedex.
“Aracinom, the Arachnid Pokemon, Aracinom is the evolved form of Spidox, Aracinom’s poison is so strong it can take down the strongest pokemon and keep it paralysed for days” it says
“Aracinom…so your Spidox evolved” Ash say and Donna nods, “We did a lot of training and now it’s much more stronger” she says, “I’ll show you, Aracinom use Poison sting!” Donna calls out, Aracinom opens its mouth and releases a wave of glowing pins through the air, “Dodge it Herovor!” Ash calls out and Herovor jumps up but is hit by a few of the pins, Herovor is injured but not out of the battle, “Wow that Poison sting is strong!” Trissy says,
“Herovor, are you okay?” Ash asks and Herovor nods and lets out a little sigh,
“Now’s your chance Aracinom use Poison Slash!” Donna calls out, Aracinom charges towards Herovor with the tip of its claw glowing a purple glow and dives in to slash at Herovor, “Move Herovor!” Ash calls out and Herovor only just dodges the attack, “Herovor Razor Leaf!” Ash calls out and Herovor releases another wave of spinning leafs at Aracinom, and Aracinom is hit, but the damage is not bad, “Aracinom use String Shot!” Donna shouts, Aracinom shoots a white rope like string at Herovor and Herovor is covered by it and it can’t move, “Now Aracinom Poison Slash!” Donna calls out, knowing she has this round, Aracinom charges at Herovor again with it’s glowing tip of its claw and hits Herovor, knocking it out of the battle, “Herovor!” Ash calls out as Herovor falls to the ground,
“Herovor is unable to battle, Aracinom wins!” The referee shouts out.
“That was intense!” Ella says, “Herovor did good for its type weakness” Brock says, as Ash returns it back to it’s Pokeball, “That was an awesome job Herovor!” he says tucking the Pokeball back onto his belt, Ash looks at Pikachu who is sitting on the bench with the others, “Pikachu are you ready!” Ash says and Pikachu jumps off the bench and stands next to Ash, ready to battle.
Meanwhile Team Rocket are still training, this time James and Jesse are fighting each other.
“Chimecho Psybeam!” James calls out, Chimecho releases a blast of colourful light down at Solshrub,
“Move Solshrub!” Jesse calls out, by Chimecho’s attack hits, but Solshrub is not down just yet, it gets back up off the ground and it’s fingers start glowing, “What’s that?” Jesse asks as Solshrub jumps into the air and starts shooting darts of light from its fingertips, “Did Solshrub just learn a new attack?” Jesse says, the darts fly down and hit Chimecho, ending the battle, “What attack was that?” James says and Meowth says “I think that was a Solar Dart attack”, “Wow you learnt a new attack!” James says giving Solshrub a big hug, as it hugs him back, “Now I know I’m gonna win the contest!” Jesse says.
Back at the gym, Ash and Donna are ready to battle again.
“Pikachu its up to you now” Ash says driven to win, Pikachu lets out a cry to let Ash know that it’s ready.
“Aracinom Poison Sting!” Donna calls out Aracinom lets out a wave of glowing pins at Pikachu, just like it did Herovor,
“Quick Attack Pikachu!” Ash calls out and Pikachu quickly speeds up and runs around the pins hitting the ground, and dives up and hits Aracinom, “Pikachu use Thunder Shock!”, Pikachu charges up and releases a thunder shock attack at Aracinom before Aracinom has a chance to get up, the thunder shock zaps Aracinom causing it to faint,
“This round goes to Pikachu and Ash!” the referee calls out, “Good one Ash, you too Pikachu!” Cole calls out as the rest of the group cheer him on, while Vinny sits and watches in silence at Donna.
“Now Ash this is it, the last Pokemon” Donna says pulling a Pokeball from her belt, “Seviper your turn now!” she says throwing the Pokeball, and with a flash of light out comes Seviper, releasing a big hiss.
“This is it Pikachu our last chance” Ash says to Pikachu who is standing its ground ready for the final fight,
“Pikachu, Volt tackle!” Ash calls out and Pikachu charges up until its covered in electricity and charges up to Seviper,
“Seviper dig!” Donna calls out and Seviper quickly dives into the ground to avoid Pikachu’s attack, Pikachu stops, confused to where Seviper could be, “Now Seviper!” Donna calls out, and all of a sudden the ground starts rumbling and the ground breaks up beneath Pikachu sending it flying into the air and falling back to the ground,
“Pikachu no!” Ash shouts out,
“Seviper Poison Tail!” Donna calls out to Seviper, Seviper’s tail glows a bright purple colour and it jumps up to strike Pikachu with its tail, “Pikachu dodge it, Quick attack now” Ash says as Pikachu lifts it’s self off the ground, Pikachu turns to see Seviper coming towards it with it’s tail ready to hit, Pikachu quickly jumps out of the way just before Seviper’s tail hits the ground, breaking it apart
“Pikachu use thunder shock!” Ash says as Pikachu quickly turns around from using quick attack, and charges up and releasing a bolt of electricity at Seviper, and strikes it, “Seviper’s hit!” Ash says to Pikachu, “Now Pikachu one more time, Thunder attack!” he says pointing out to Seviper, Pikachu charges up another attack, and releases it, before Seviper can snap out of the previous shock, the thunder bolt comes in fast and hits Seviper, electrocuting it,
Everybody watches in anticipation, Seviper falls to the ground and struggles to get up, “come on Seviper…” Donna mumbles to herself, Seviper struggles but falls back to the ground…”Pikachu wins!” the referee says raising his hand into the air on Ash’s and Pikachu’s side, “Ash from Pallet Town is the winner!” he says and everybody jumps up in joy, and Pikachu runs over to Ash and they hug,
Donna is disappointed and returns Seviper to it’s Pokeball, “You did so good Seviper, have a good rest” she says to the ball, the group and Vinny walk over to Ash to congratulate him on the win, “That was awesome Ash!” Cole says, “Yeah that was so good to watch” Trissy says, Donna walks over to Ash holding a small tin plate with a small pink badge in the center of it, “Here you go Ash, you have won the Rose badge” she says handing it to him, Ash bows and thanks Donna for the battle and for the badge, Ash raises the badge into the air, “I won the Rose badge!” he says with joy.
“Now it’s my turn!” Cole says to Vinny, “I’m so psyched up after watching Ash and Donna’s battle” he says, Vinny smiles and agrees to battle him.
“Now Cole, since you only have 2 pokemon, we will both use 2 each in this battle” Vinny says, and Cole nods.
The referee says “Vinny, the gym contest leader of Serpintine City will battle Cole, from Mossy town, let the battle commence” he says waving down the red and green flags,
“Come on out!” Vinny says throwing a Pokeball onto the battlefield, and with a burst of light, out comes Venomoth, Cole pulls a Pokeball from his belt and enlarges it, “Right, Purrlit I choose you!” he says also throwing his Pokeball and out pops Purrlit,
“Venomoth, Stun Spore!” Vinny says and Venomoth flaps its wings and releases a cloud of golden dust towards Purrlit,
“Purrlit dodge it quick!” Cole shouts out and Purrlit dodges the attack, “Now Purrlit use ember!” Cole calls out and Purrlit fires up an ember attack and shoots it out of its mouth at Venomoth,
“Venomoth use gust!” Vinny says and Venomoth flaps its wings and sends out waves of air back at Purrlit’s attack and sends falling to the ground, “Venomoth now use Poison Sting!” Vinny calls out and Venomoth fires out purple needles from its wings at Purrlit and hits it, “Purrlit no!” Cole calls out and Purrlit is stunned, “Venomoth finish it with Bug Charge!” Vinny says, “Bug Charge what attack it that?” Ash says, Donna explains,
“Bug Charge is an attack that raises the attack of bug type pokemon and it shoots out a blast with double the damage”
Venomoth’s eyes start glowing and it release a blasts of white light at Purrlit, hitting it, knocking it out, “Purrlit no!” Cole says,
“Purrlit is unable to battle, Venomoth wins!” the referee says, Cole returns Purrlit back to it’s pokeball and thanks it for trying, Cole then throws out another pokeball and out comes Toron,
“Now Toron use Roll Out to spin around Venomoth” Cole says, Toron rolls up and starts spinning on the ground in one spot to build up speed “GO!” Cole calls out and Toron speeds off and spins around in a circle around Venomoth, Venomoth gets dizzy from watching Toron spin around, and Cole sees his chance to attack, “Now Toron Take Down!”
Toron spins up into the air and unwraps its self and charges down onto Venomoth sending it falling to the ground, knocking it out, “Toron is the winner!” the referee says raising his flag onto Coles side, “YES!!!” Cole shouts with joy, “Now, one more Pokemon to go!”
“It’s not over yet Cole” Vinny says and pulls out another Pokeball and enlarges it, “Lets go my friend!” he says throwing out to the battlefield, the ball bursts open and out comes Skorupi
“Skorupi use Poison Sting!” Vinny calls out and Skorupi fires purple needles from its tail claw at Toron,
“Toron Solid Skin!” Cole shouts and Toron stands it’s ground and its skin starts glowing, and the poison sting just bounces off it, Toron shakes off the attack and starts charging at Skorupi, “Toron what are you doing!” Cole calls out to it, Toron keeps going and jumps into the air and then dives straight down onto Skorupi, hitting it, “What attack was that!” Cole says confused,
“That was a Cannonball attack!” Brock says and Cole gets excited to see Toron learn a new attack,
“Go Toron Cannonball again!” Cole calls out and Toron jumps into the air and dives back down at Skorupi,
“Skorupi use Poison Jab” Vinny says and Skorupi’s claws on the end of it’s tail glow a bright shade of purple and strikes at Toron, as Toron hits Skorupi, the attacks collide blows up, the battlefield is covered in smoke, and everybody is waiting for the smoke to clear to see who is still standing,
after the smoke clears on Vinny’s side Skorupi is still standing, and when the smoke clears on Cole’s side, Toron is still standing, “Wow they’re both still standing!” Ella says just then Skorupi falls to the ground, fainted, and Cole starts smiling until he sees Toron also fall to the ground, “A draw!” Brock says and everybody is shocked, “The battle ends in a draw!” the referee says raising both flags into the air,
“A draw… so what does that mean” Cole says confused as he picks up Toron,
“It means we go one more round” Vinny says,
“But…”
“But since you don’t have any more pokemon we don’t have to” Vinny says with a smile “I’ll tell you what Cole, since you gave such determination and good faith in your pokemon I’ll let you win”
Cole smiles a huge smile,
“But…I cannot reward you a gym medal” he says,
“But you said I won, so don’t I get a medal?” Cole says confused again,
“Well yes but you see, I don’t actually have and gym medals as of yet, they are still being made for me since I just became a gym contest leader”
“But I will have one for you very soon, I’ll tell you what how about when I get them I’ll send it to your family to give to you” Vinny says
“That’s okay with me!” Cole says with a smile.
After the long and exciting day for the group its time to say goodbye,
“Thank you so much for the battle Donna, oh and the badge too” Ash says, “No problem” Donna says smiling,
“And thank you Vinny for the battle too, and for the gym medal to come” Cole says, “Also no problem, I guess we’ll see you guys later!” he says
As the sunsets in the sky with shades of orange and yellow, the group along with Trissy wave goodbye to Donna and Vinny, and head back to the Pokemon center to rest for the night, for Ella and Trissy’s contest the next day.

“Now’s your chance Aracinom use Poison Slash!” Donna calls out, Aracinom charges towards Herovor with the tip of its claw glowing a purple glow and dives in to slash at Herovor, “Move Herovor!” Ash calls out and Herovor only just dodges the attack, “Herovor Razor Leaf!” Ash calls out and Herovor releases another wave of spinning leafs at Aracinom, and Aracinom is hit, but the damage is not bad, “Aracinom use String Shot!” Donna shouts, Aracinom shoots a white rope like string at Herovor and Herovor is covered by it and it can’t move, “Now Aracinom Poison Slash!” Donna calls out, knowing she has this round, Aracinom charges at Herovor again with it’s glowing tip of its claw and hits Herovor, knocking it out of the battle, “Herovor!” Ash calls out as Herovor falls to the ground,
“Herovor is unable to battle, Aracinom wins!” The referee shouts out.
“That was intense!” Ella says, “Herovor did good for its type weakness” Brock says, as Ash returns it back to it’s Pokeball, “That was an awesome job Herovor!” he says tucking the Pokeball back onto his belt, Ash looks at Pikachu who is sitting on the bench with the others, “Pikachu are you ready!” Ash says and Pikachu jumps off the bench and stands next to Ash, ready to battle.
Meanwhile Team Rocket are still training, this time James and Jesse are fighting each other.
“Chimecho Psybeam!” James calls out, Chimecho releases a blast of colourful light down at Solshrub,
“Move Solshrub!” Jesse calls out, by Chimecho’s attack hits, but Solshrub is not down just yet, it gets back up off the ground and it’s fingers start glowing, “What’s that?” Jesse asks as Solshrub jumps into the air and starts shooting darts of light from its fingertips, “Did Solshrub just learn a new attack?” Jesse says, the darts fly down and hit Chimecho, ending the battle, “What attack was that?” James says and Meowth says “I think that was a Solar Dart attack”, “Wow you learnt a new attack!” James says giving Solshrub a big hug, as it hugs him back, “Now I know I’m gonna win the contest!” Jesse says.
Back at the gym, Ash and Donna are ready to battle again.
“Pikachu its up to you now” Ash says driven to win, Pikachu lets out a cry to let Ash know that it’s ready.
“Aracinom Poison Sting!” Donna calls out Aracinom lets out a wave of glowing pins at Pikachu, just like it did Herovor,
“Quick Attack Pikachu!” Ash calls out and Pikachu quickly speeds up and runs around the pins hitting the ground, and dives up and hits Aracinom, “Pikachu use Thunder Shock!”, Pikachu charges up and releases a thunder shock attack at Aracinom before Aracinom has a chance to get up, the thunder shock zaps Aracinom causing it to faint,
“This round goes to Pikachu and Ash!” the referee calls out, “Good one Ash, you too Pikachu!” Cole calls out as the rest of the group cheer him on, while Vinny sits and watches in silence at Donna.
“Now Ash this is it, the last Pokemon” Donna says pulling a Pokeball from her belt, “Seviper your turn now!” she says throwing the Pokeball, and with a flash of light out comes Seviper, releasing a big hiss.
“This is it Pikachu our last chance” Ash says to Pikachu who is standing its ground ready for the final fight,
“Pikachu, Volt tackle!” Ash calls out and Pikachu charges up until its covered in electricity and charges up to Seviper,
“Seviper dig!” Donna calls out and Seviper quickly dives into the ground to avoid Pikachu’s attack, Pikachu stops, confused to where Seviper could be, “Now Seviper!” Donna calls out, and all of a sudden the ground starts rumbling and the ground breaks up beneath Pikachu sending it flying into the air and falling back to the ground,
“Pikachu no!” Ash shouts out,
“Seviper Poison Tail!” Donna calls out to Seviper, Seviper’s tail glows a bright purple colour and it jumps up to strike Pikachu with its tail, “Pikachu dodge it, Quick attack now” Ash says as Pikachu lifts it’s self off the ground, Pikachu turns to see Seviper coming towards it with it’s tail ready to hit, Pikachu quickly jumps out of the way just before Seviper’s tail hits the ground, breaking it apart
“Pikachu use thunder shock!” Ash says as Pikachu quickly turns around from using quick attack, and charges up and releasing a bolt of electricity at Seviper, and strikes it, “Seviper’s hit!” Ash says to Pikachu, “Now Pikachu one more time, Thunder attack!” he says pointing out to Seviper, Pikachu charges up another attack, and releases it, before Seviper can snap out of the previous shock, the thunder bolt comes in fast and hits Seviper, electrocuting it,
Everybody watches in anticipation, Seviper falls to the ground and struggles to get up, “come on Seviper…” Donna mumbles to herself, Seviper struggles but falls back to the ground…”Pikachu wins!” the referee says raising his hand into the air on Ash’s and Pikachu’s side, “Ash from Pallet Town is the winner!” he says and everybody jumps up in joy, and Pikachu runs over to Ash and they hug,
Donna is disappointed and returns Seviper to it’s Pokeball, “You did so good Seviper, have a good rest” she says to the ball, the group and Vinny walk over to Ash to congratulate him on the win, “That was awesome Ash!” Cole says, “Yeah that was so good to watch” Trissy says, Donna walks over to Ash holding a small tin plate with a small pink badge in the center of it, “Here you go Ash, you have won the Rose badge” she says handing it to him, Ash bows and thanks Donna for the battle and for the badge, Ash raises the badge into the air, “I won the Rose badge!” he says with joy.
“Now it’s my turn!” Cole says to Vinny, “I’m so psyched up after watching Ash and Donna’s battle” he says, Vinny smiles and agrees to battle him.
“Now Cole, since you only have 2 pokemon, we will both use 2 each in this battle” Vinny says, and Cole nods.
The referee says “Vinny, the gym contest leader of Serpintine City will battle Cole, from Mossy town, let the battle commence” he says waving down the red and green flags,
“Come on out!” Vinny says throwing a Pokeball onto the battlefield, and with a burst of light, out comes Venomoth, Cole pulls a Pokeball from his belt and enlarges it, “Right, Purrlit I choose you!” he says also throwing his Pokeball and out pops Purrlit,
“Venomoth, Stun Spore!” Vinny says and Venomoth flaps its wings and releases a cloud of golden dust towards Purrlit,
“Purrlit dodge it quick!” Cole shouts out and Purrlit dodges the attack, “Now Purrlit use ember!” Cole calls out and Purrlit fires up an ember attack and shoots it out of its mouth at Venomoth,
“Venomoth use gust!” Vinny says and Venomoth flaps its wings and sends out waves of air back at Purrlit’s attack and sends falling to the ground, “Venomoth now use Poison Sting!” Vinny calls out and Venomoth fires out purple needles from its wings at Purrlit and hits it, “Purrlit no!” Cole calls out and Purrlit is stunned, “Venomoth finish it with Bug Charge!” Vinny says, “Bug Charge what attack it that?” Ash says, Donna explains,
“Bug Charge is an attack that raises the attack of bug type pokemon and it shoots out a blast with double the damage”
Venomoth’s eyes start glowing and it release a blasts of white light at Purrlit, hitting it, knocking it out, “Purrlit no!” Cole says,
“Purrlit is unable to battle, Venomoth wins!” the referee says, Cole returns Purrlit back to it’s pokeball and thanks it for trying, Cole then throws out another pokeball and out comes Toron,
“Now Toron use Roll Out to spin around Venomoth” Cole says, Toron rolls up and starts spinning on the ground in one spot to build up speed “GO!” Cole calls out and Toron speeds off and spins around in a circle around Venomoth, Venomoth gets dizzy from watching Toron spin around, and Cole sees his chance to attack, “Now Toron Take Down!”
Toron spins up into the air and unwraps its self and charges down onto Venomoth sending it falling to the ground, knocking it out, “Toron is the winner!” the referee says raising his flag onto Coles side, “YES!!!” Cole shouts with joy, “Now, one more Pokemon to go!”
“It’s not over yet Cole” Vinny says and pulls out another Pokeball and enlarges it, “Lets go my friend!” he says throwing out to the battlefield, the ball bursts open and out comes Skorupi
“Skorupi use Poison Sting!” Vinny calls out and Skorupi fires purple needles from its tail claw at Toron,
“Toron Solid Skin!” Cole shouts and Toron stands it’s ground and its skin starts glowing, and the poison sting just bounces off it, Toron shakes off the attack and starts charging at Skorupi, “Toron what are you doing!” Cole calls out to it, Toron keeps going and jumps into the air and then dives straight down onto Skorupi, hitting it, “What attack was that!” Cole says confused,
“That was a Cannonball attack!” Brock says and Cole gets excited to see Toron learn a new attack,
“Go Toron Cannonball again!” Cole calls out and Toron jumps into the air and dives back down at Skorupi,
“Skorupi use Poison Jab” Vinny says and Skorupi’s claws on the end of it’s tail glow a bright shade of purple and strikes at Toron, as Toron hits Skorupi, the attacks collide blows up, the battlefield is covered in smoke, and everybody is waiting for the smoke to clear to see who is still standing,
after the smoke clears on Vinny’s side Skorupi is still standing, and when the smoke clears on Cole’s side, Toron is still standing, “Wow they’re both still standing!” Ella says just then Skorupi falls to the ground, fainted, and Cole starts smiling until he sees Toron also fall to the ground, “A draw!” Brock says and everybody is shocked, “The battle ends in a draw!” the referee says raising both flags into the air,
“A draw… so what does that mean” Cole says confused as he picks up Toron,
“It means we go one more round” Vinny says,
“But…”
“But since you don’t have any more pokemon we don’t have to” Vinny says with a smile “I’ll tell you what Cole, since you gave such determination and good faith in your pokemon I’ll let you win”
Cole smiles a huge smile,
“But…I cannot reward you a gym medal” he says,
“But you said I won, so don’t I get a medal?” Cole says confused again,
“Well yes but you see, I don’t actually have and gym medals as of yet, they are still being made for me since I just became a gym contest leader”
“But I will have one for you very soon, I’ll tell you what how about when I get them I’ll send it to your family to give to you” Vinny says
“That’s okay with me!” Cole says with a smile.
After the long and exciting day for the group its time to say goodbye,
“Thank you so much for the battle Donna, oh and the badge too” Ash says, “No problem” Donna says smiling,
“And thank you Vinny for the battle too, and for the gym medal to come” Cole says, “Also no problem, I guess we’ll see you guys later!” he says
As the sunsets in the sky with shades of orange and yellow, the group along with Trissy wave goodbye to Donna and Vinny, and head back to the Pokemon center to rest for the night, for Ella and Trissy’s contest the next day.
