 A new set of games have been revealed! Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon (sounds a bit familiar...I don't know why...) What do you guys think? Pokemon Sun and Moon...I wonder what the story is behind the legends and what they could possibly be based on?.... I wonder if an eclipse is involved with the story.... A cat starter!? |

Meh... It sounds so unoriginal! It's as if Nintendo has looked at the fanmade games (like Solar Light & Lunar Dark  ) and decided to come up with even less inspired names. It should have been the other way around, if you ask me. But I'm thinking about that eclipse too, because the icons beside the logos do hint a bit at that phenomenon: Pokémon Sun looks like a moon eclipse, and Pokémon Moon looks like a solar eclipse. So, who knows...? |

obviously Gamefreak know thats fans are going to assume theres a Pokemon Eclipse lol
I personally don't think Gamefreak will do 3rd version games anymore because they do sell a lot less (about half the amount) that the main games sell.
People over on Serebii.net forums are arguing that 'it's not confirmed that it's the 7th gen' it makes me laugh, it IS the 7th gen.

Meh, I agree with Myo. Sounds unoriginal with the names. Would have been better if it was something like, Pokemon Dawn or something like that. But I'm still happy that the 7th gen has been released! I hope there is a new type and I hope there is more Ghost type gyms.

I believe that Pokemon Go is the Earth of Pokemon Sun and Moon because if you see the logo there is a round shape that looks like a planet on Pokemon Sun, Moon, and Go! The round planet is obviously a Sun and a Moon in Pokemon Sun and Moon, but the round planet in Pokemon Go is ptobably Earth because Pokemon Go takes place in Earth.

So what do you guys think about the new starters, personally, I don't like them, the only one I do like is Litten (I like cats) The region looks nice, but we just had ORAS which was tropical, now we get another tropical region, seems too much of the same. I do love that they took away the chibi overworlds and are using more accurate sized trainer overworlds, no more of this big head, small body business, that looks great! Hate the player choices of character, the eff is that red hat on the girls head!? their outfits looks so bland and boring, apparently trainer customization is in the game (someone noticed that the boys clothes changed from blue strips to black stripes and shorts from black and red to black and white) But it might not be full trainer customization like in X/Y. maybe just alternate colors. The Alola Region - People are freaking out about the map being small, they don't realise that they've probably changed the region map where is shows you where you are instead of just a dot on the map, my guess is that there are multiple islands and each island has it's own map. Also, look at the very bottom of my first message, the last line of text (you may need to highlight the text) about sun/moon, as I predicted  |

Mhh, the startes are OK, first I dislike them, but that's normal for me ^^ After a second and a third look I think they are OK, I like Rowlet the most, Popplio is OK except the big nose (german name is Robball, haha they stole the name from Rubball ;-) ). I'm not a big Cat fan, so Litten isn't my favourite.
Litten could be Fire/Dark at the end, Rowlet stays of course as Grass/Flying and Popplio, i don't think it gets a second type.
The region looks awesome, I like the tropical Hawaii feeling. I think the pic we saw is not the complete region, maybe there are more islands (like Hawaii has more). I don't need character customization, so i'ts not important ^^

Litten is my favorite, but I like anything feline haha
I reckon the map changes depending on which island you're on, that or that isn't the game map but just an opening scene in the game, since the player is new to the region, my guess is that they could be flying in on a plane and sees the island from above? lol probably not.
I'm a little worried that we won't be getting much new Pokemon this generation either, since Hawaii is small and all, Kalos is based on France, a whole country and we still got 70 Pokemon, Hawaii is a few islands, so I don't see them introducing many new Pokemon, probably around the 70 mark again...though I hope for at least 100.
As for trainer customization, I feel that we will be able to choose the colour of our outfit at the beginning of the game, after we choose our skin colour, the outfits will be the same, just different colours, then throughout the region we get new clothes.
I like how many similarities we have with Sun/Moon, both are Sun and Moon related, both have Fire Cat starters, both have the playable characters wearing stripped t-shirts lol

Oh look...we have a Fire/Ground type cat starter in our sun/moon themed game...lol
