I'm in the desert, and I went up towards the cave on the left. I couldn't get in (obviously), but the ranger NPC spotted me and wanted to battle. He's on the stairs and now he won't move. Now, I can't get out and I'm stuck. I've already had to restart this game twice, and I'd hate to restart again. Some help would really be appreciated. Thank you in advanced.

Ping the devs on #bug-report on the Discord (discord.gg/FYtGUH) and send them your save file. Your save file is the file Game.rxdata in C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\Saved Games\Pokémon Solar Light _ Lunar Dark 1_0_1.
