So I saw a Youtuber start playing and I start too. My question is, where can I see if the starter is shiny? Can I see it on the selection part where I choose one of the three, or do I have to go into the summary after I choose it?

You can see if it's shiny when you're going to give the pokemon a nickname. There you can see if it's shiny.
