Episode 14: Moonky Business!
After the exciting events that happened in Serpintine city, Ash winning his first Rikoto badge, the Rose badge, Cole winning his first gym medal that he is yet to receive, and Ella making it to the semi finals of the grass type contest.
The group are walking along a dirt path in the early morning, heading towards the next city, Crestlight city, where the next gym and contest will be held.
“I’m gonna win my 2nd gym medal for sure!” Cole says walking a head of the group with Purrlit at his side, Ash, Brock and Ella walk behind him and roll their eyes,
“Cole don’t be too sure, you can never be so certain,” Brock says,
“Na, I know I’m gonna win” Cole says with confidence in his voice
“Just as long as Purrlit, Toron and I do some hard out training”,
“Cole, didn’t Vinny say that you’re supposed to use 3 pokemon in a battle? Vinny let you use 2 because you only had 2” Ella says,
Cole stops in his tracks and is shocked with the realization he needs more pokemon,
“Oh man…I need to catch more pokemon!” he says,
Ash, Brock and Ella shake their heads and Pikachu laughs.
Meanwhile Team Rocket are walking down the same path as the group, with Jesse walking in front of James, Meowth and Wobbuffet holding her new Flower ribbon in front of her face,
“I knew I was going to win,” she says with a big grin on her face,
“Hey don’t forget it was my Solshrub that won you the ribbon,” James says
Jesse turns her head while she’s walking, “Yeah but that’s because I was it’s trainer” she says, James and Meowth look at her and sigh.
Back with the group, Brock is reading a map,
“It looks like there is a small town up ahead,” he says,
“Okay we’ll stop there for a small rest, then we’ll carry on to Crestlight City,” says Ash.
Meanwhile in the small town known as Kinik Town, people are just finishing their breakfasts and are about to leave their homes, when they get outside they are all shocked to find drawings and paw prints all over the houses and fences, “What’s going on!” a man says,
“Where did all these drawings come from!” a woman says, and a girl with a Chatot on her shoulder looks around, with a worried look on her face, and she runs into her room to find her bedroom window open and paw prints leading into her closet, Chatot pops off her shoulder and on to the bed, as the girl opens the closet door, “What have you done…” she says.
Back with the group, they finally arrive in Kinik town, to find the townspeople angry and shouting, and the group wonder what is going on, so they walk up to a man and ask what’s going on,
The man says, “We woke up this morning to find someone has drawn all over the houses and fences!”
The group look around to see people cleaning the walls of the houses and painting the fences, “Do you know who did it?” Ash asks,
“That’s just it, nobody knows who did it!” the man says,
Brock looks at a wall with drawings a paw prints all over it and starts rubbing his chin and thinking, he notices the paw prints, “This wasn’t a person…” he says, everyone looks at him, “See these paw prints…this was done by a Pokemon” he says, “A Pokemon!” everyone says,
“If you match these paw prints to a pokemon, you’ll have your guilty suspect!” Brock says, the girl with the Chatot over hears them and runs back to her home, she gets inside and opens the closet door, the pokemon inside is sleeping, “Wake up…” she says, the small Pokemon wakes up and smiles, and stretches its arms, “Your in trouble…you have to stay hidden” she says and the pokemon nods.
Back outside the group and townspeople are searching for the pokemon, when Brock notices paw prints leading into the girls window, Brock looks in the window and the girl hears him, and quickly stands up and shuts the closet doors behind her and smiles, “Can I help you!” she says, Brock is suspicious of her, “You haven’t seen a pokemon around here, that could have caused the drawings everywhere have you?” he says, the girl replies hastily “No, no I haven’t, there’s no pokemon here, it’s just me and my Chatot” as she slams the closet doors and blocks him from seeing anything, this makes Brock even more suspicious of her.
Ash and Ella look in the forest to find some clues to what Pokemon could have made those prints, and Cole walks around the town with Purrlit, who is sniffing the ground trying to find it.
Brock walks with Sudowoodo and says to himself “That girl, she was acting very suspicious” just then the girl with the Chatot walks by, “Hey you!” Brock says and the girl stops “…yes…” she says all shaky, “Are you sure you don’t know anything about the Pokemon doing all the drawings, it’s alright you can tell me” he says, the girl bows her head “…I do…I know what Pokemon did it” she says,
“Where is it?” Brock asks,
“It’s at home in my closet, it didn’t mean to cause all this trouble, it was just having fun,” she says, Brock smiles, “can you take me to the pokemon?” he asks and she nods, Brock introduces himself and she introduces herself as Heather and the leave.
Team Rocket arrives in the town and Ash and Ella see them, “Not this time Team Rocket!” Ash shouts, Team Rocket stop in their tracks, “What...” Jesse says,
“Pikachu thunder attack!” Ash says and Pikachu jumps off his shoulder and zaps them with a thunder attack, Team Rocket are all shocked and fall to the ground,
“This time we got jumped” James says, Team Rocket get up and run away,
“We’re blasting off already!”
Brock and Heather arrive at her house and go inside, “Its in my room” she says and they go in, “Its hiding in the closet” she says as she opens the closet door, Heather is shocked to see nothing there but painted footprints! “Wh…where’s it gone!” she says, Brock notices the window is open, “It got out” he says, “We have to find it before the townspeople do” Brock and Heather run out of the room to find this mischievous pokemon.
Outside they hear people yelling and screaming, “Oh not” Heather says and they run to where the crowd are, the crowd of people are standing around in a circle, “We got ya!” a man yells, “caught you this time” a woman says and Brock and Heather make their way through the crowd, Brock pokes his head through to see a small blue pokemon on the ground scared, “Hey leave it alone he says” standing before it to protect it, Ash, and Ella arrive and see Brock protecting the pokemon, “What pokemon is that?” Ash says pulling out his Pokedex,
“Moonky, the Playful Pokemon, Moonky like to play games and always find something to keep them occupied” “So it was a Moonky doing all these drawings, ” Ash says,
“Hey kid move out of the way” a man says, “NO!” Brock says, “Moonky was only playing, it didn’t harm anyone!” he says and Heather and Chatot smile at Brock,
“Yeah but it did all this mess all over the houses and fences” he shouts
“They can be cleaned off” Brock says, as the Moonky hugs his leg with fear,
“That Moonky has to leave now!” the man yells, “No!” Heather says and she steps in,
“Moonky didn’t do anything bad, don’t make it leave” she says all teary eyed
The man looks at her, “Fine then, we’ll have a battle” the man says to Brock,
“Battle me, and if you win Moonky can stay, if I win… the Moonky has to leave” Brock is angry but sees that it’s Moonky’s only chance to stay with Heather and he excepts the mans offer.
The man and Brock get ready to battle, While Ash, Ella and Heather and Moonky watch with the rest of the townspeople, Just then Cole and Purrlit arrive, “What’s going on?” he says, “Well…” Ella says
“Brock found out that is was Moonky that was drawing everywhere and the townspeople want it to leave, so Brock is going to battle this guy and if Brock wins Moonky gets to stay, but if Brock loses, Moonky has to leave”
“Oh” Cole says and sits down to watch the battle.
“Are you ready!” the man says, “I’m ready Brock says back”
“Go Ivysaur!” the man says throwing a pokeball, the pokeball bursts open and a pokemon with a flower on it’s back emerges from the ball.
“Sudowoodo, go!” Brock says throwing the pokeball and Sudowoodo emerges,
“Lets go Ivysaur, use Vine whip” the man says and Ivysaur lashes out a vine whip hitting Sudowoodo knocking it back, “wow that was strong!” Cole says, “It was, since Ivysaur is a grass type it’s stronger than Sudowoodo is Rock type” Ash says,
Sudowoodo gets back up, “Sudowoodo Double edge!” Brock says and Sudowoodo runs up and uses double-edge, “Dodge it Ivysaur!” the man says and Ivysaur dodges it, “Now Ivysaur Razor Leaf!” the man calls out and Ivysaur sends out a barrage of leafs at Sudowoodo, knocking it to the ground, “Get up Sudowoodo!” Brock shouts out, Sudowoodo struggles to get up, “Haha” the man laughs “Finish it Ivysaur, Razor leaf again!” he says, Ivysaur jumps up and fires off another Razor leaf attack at Sudowoodo, Sudowoodo can’t get away in time and is hit again, “Sudowoodo no!” Brock shouts, as Sudowoodo falls to the ground, fainted,
“Haha I win, so that Moonky has to go!” the man says pointing at Moonky, as Moonky holds onto Heather, Brock returns Sudowoodo back to it’s Pokeball and thanks it for trying,
Everyone surrounds the Moonky and Brock says, “I tried Moonky, but I lost, so you have to leave the town” Heather starts crying “don’t make Moonky go away!” she says,
The man comes over to them and says “a deal is a deal” the group are sad and Moonky has to leave, the group and Heather take Moonky to the exit of the town, “I’m sorry Moonky but you have to leave the town” Heather says, the group are sad, and Moonky hugs Heather and starts walking away, “wait!” Brock says, “Moonky you don’t have to be alone” he says,
“What do you mean Brock?” Ella asks, “I mean you can come along with me if you like” he says, Moonky looks at him, “Well Moonky you can come with me” Moonky just stares at Brock and then looks at Heather, “I think that’s a great idea Moonky!” Heather says, Moonky smiles and agrees to go with Brock, Brock smiles and bends down pulling out a pokeball, and touches it on the head sucking it inside, the ball rocks back and forth and stops, Brock has caught Moonky!
The sun is setting in the sky and it’s time to leave, Heather hugs Moonky, and says goodbye to the group, Moonky jumps on Brocks shoulder and they leave for Crestlight city waving goodbye, “I’ll see you soon Moonky!” Heather says waving.
