A Lesson In The Art Of Flying
It’s a bright sunny day as the group walk down a path towards Crestlight City.
Pikachu sits on Ash’s shoulder and Purrlit walks along side Cole, Moonky is skipping along and Ella is holding Lavenseed,
“How far is it to Crestlight city?” Ash says to Brock who is reading a map,
“It’s not far from here,” he says,
‘Rrrrrr’ a rumble sound is heard, and Cole holds his stomach, “I’m so hungry” he says, Brock smiles, “Then maybe we should stop for some lunch” he says.
The group come across a Pokemon center and decide to stop there for a while.
Outside the pokemon center the group sit and eat lunch, while all the pokemon eat too.
“Moonky seems to get along with the other Pokemon” Ella says,
Brock smiles at Moonky, who is sharing its food with Lavenseed,
“It is, I think its gonna fit right in” Brock says,
Cole turns to Ash and says, “So Ash, are you gonna train for your next gym battle?” Cole asks, “Of course!” Ash says, “Actually I might do some training now!” he says standing up from the table and looks at Pikachu, Herovor and Paracaw, “Lets go guys, it’s training time!” he says.
Brock, Ella and Cole watch Ash, as trains his Pokemon by getting them to smash rocks
“Pikachu use Iron tail, Herovor Razor Leaf, Paracaw Wing Attack!” he shouts out, Pikachu’s tail glows and it swings it onto the rock smashing it to bits, Herovor releases a wave of spinning leafs at the rock slicing it in two, and Paracaw runs up and strikes the rock with its glowing wing, but nothing happens…
Everybody looks at Paracaw as it walks away from the rock that has no damage on it,
“Oh poor Paracaw” Ella says, “It would have smashed that rock if it was flying” Cole says,
Ash walks over to Paracaw, “Paracaw, I wish I knew how to get you flying again” he says as Paracaw looks at the ground, just then Ash has an idea, “I know!” he says jumping up, “Wait here!” he says running into the Pokemon center, Brock, Ella and Cole watch as he goes inside.
A few minutes later Ash walks out of the pokemon center, “What do you have planned Ash?” Ella asks,
“Something that might help Paracaw to fly again” he says,
“What is it?” Cole asks, Ash smiles and pulls out 3 pokeballs,
“Pokeballs?” Cole says with confusion
“You’ll see” he says, Ash throws the 3 pokeballs into the air “Come out guys!” he says, the 3 pokeballs burst open, 3 flashes of light shine and out of the pokeballs come Noctowl, sparkling in the light, Swellow, and Staraptor,
“WOW!” Cole says in amazement,
Noctowl, Swellow and Staraptor stand beside Ash all proud, and Pikachu runs up to greet its old friends, Herovor and Paracaw greet them too,
“These are my old friends Paracaw, and they can help you to fly again,” Ash says,
Paracaw looks at Noctowl, Swellow and Staraptor and they look back and smile, “Lets get to it!” Ash says.
Meanwhile Team Rocket are painting a building near the Pokemon center watching the group.
“Looks like the twerps using his old flying pokemon to show Paracaw how to fly” James says as Carnivine and Solshrub are painting the wall with their vine whips,
“Then we’re gonna steal them!” Jesse says as Wobbuffet, and Seviper paint as well,
Meowth sighs, “How do we do that, when we have no money for traps” he says, Jesse’s face looks bland and she bows her head “…oh…” just then their boss arrives “Hurry up with that paint job, I have something else for you to do!” he shouts at them and Team Rocket start painting faster.
Back to the group, Ash is training with his bird pokemon, he throws 3 discs into the air, “Swellow use Aerial Ace, Noctowl use Wing Attack, Staraptor use Close Combat!” he calls out, Swellow swoops in and slices the disc in 2, Noctowl hits the disc with it’s wing attack smashing it to bits and Staraptor attacks the disc also smashing it to pieces,
”Wow” Cole says, “They’re strong!”
Ash and the birds look at Paracaw, “See Paracaw you can be so much stronger if you were flying” Ash says and the birds nod, Paracaw is still scared and it looks at its wings,
“Come on Paracaw you can do it!” Ella says, Paracaw looks at everyone and everyone smiles at it; Paracaw puts on a brave face and smiles back,
Ash tells Noctowl, Swellow and Staraptor to show Paracaw how to fly,
Swellow, Noctowl and Staraptor start flying in the air and showing Paracaw how to flap its wings, Ash, Brock, Cole and Ella watch, “Looks like Paracaw might actually fly again Ash” Brock says, “Yeah I hope so, lets give Paracaw sometime alone with them” he says,
“Lets have a battle!” Cole says, Ella looks at Cole “Good idea, but I have a better one” she says, “What?” says Cole, “a double battle, Ash and Brock against me and you” she says, the boys look at her and agree.
They get started, Ash and Brock stand on one side of the battlefield and Cole and Ella stand on the other side, “How many Pokemon should we each use?” Cole asks, “I dunno?” Ella says, “Lets use 1 pokemon each” Brock says, and they all agree,
Brock and Ash get it started, “Herovor go!” Ash says, “Sudowoodo you too!” Brock says as they throw their pokeballs releasing Herovor and Sudowoodo out onto the battlefield,
Ella and Cole enlarge their pokeballs, “Purrlit I choose you!” Cole says, “Lavenseed go!” Ella says, and they come out of their pokeballs and onto the battlefield, “lets get it started!” Ash says, “Herovor use Razor leaf!” Ash calls out, “Sudowoodo use double-edge!” Brock calls out,
“Purrlit use Ember on the razor leaf!” Cole calls out, “Lavenseed use Bullet Seed!” Ella calls out, Herovor releases it’s wave of spinning leafs and Purrlit fires off it’s ember attack at them, burning them in the air stopping them, Sudowoodo charges at Lavenseed, but Lavenseed fires off it’s Bullet seed at Sudowoodo hitting it, weakening it, “Good hit Lavenseed!” Ella says and Lavenseed jumps for joy, “Purrlit now use Quick attack!’ Cole calls out; Purrlit sprints up and hits Herovor sending it flying to the ground, “Herovor!” Ash shouts and Herovor gets back up “Herovor use Head butt!” Ash calls out, Paracaw stops it’s training with the bird pokemon to watch Ash battle with Herovor, and it sees how much he cares for his Pokemon, Paracaw sees this and is even more determined to train, Swellow and Noctowl fly in the air swooping and doing tricks while Staraptor watches them and talks to Paracaw, Paracaw steps up and starts flapping it’s wings, it starts lifting off the ground, and Pikachu sees this and shouts out, everyone stops the battle and looks to where Pikachu is pointing, they see Paracaw starting to fly “Paracaw you’re doing it!” Ash shouts out, Paracaw looks at his and smiles, it starts getting higher into the air and starts getting a little scared, “Don’t be scared Paracaw!” Ash says and Paracaw stays strong and keeps going, the bird pokemon are watching with a sense of achievement.
Meanwhile Team Rocket are digging to put in a drain, and see Paracaw flying,
“Looks like Paracaw is flying” James says, Jesse sighs, “Why does everything always work out for the twerp” she says as they keep digging.
Paracaw gets higher and higher into the air and everyone watches from below “Paracaw you’ve done it!” Ash says and Paracaw starts flying around and around and everybody cheers, Paracaw is happy and is swooping in the air, ash has an idea and gets some more discs out of his bag “Paracaw here!” Ash shouts out and throws the discs into the air,
Paracaw sees them “Paracaw use wing attack!” Ash shouts, Paracaw’s wings light up and it hits one of the discs smashing it to pieces, “Good shot Paracaw now use Quick attack!” Paracaw flies faster and hits another disc, “another good shot Paracaw!” Paracaw is pumped up and goes for the last disc in the air, “What’s Paracaw doing?” Cole says, Paracaw flies higher and higher into the air to get the disc and it’s wings start glowing, “What attack is that?” Ella says, Paracaw flaps both its wings at the same time and shoots out small flashes of light at the disc hitting it, and breaking it to pieces, “What attack was that?” Ash says,
“That looked like a Diamond Dart attack” Brock says, “So it looks like it learnt to fly and it learnt a new attack too” Ash says as Paracaw happily flies around in the air, suddenly the wind picks up and a huge gust of wind hits Paracaw, Paracaw tries to fight it but it’s too strong and blows Paracaw away, “Paracaw!” Ash shouts out as Paracaw is blown far away, Ash tells Swellow, Noctowl and Staraptor to go after it, but Brock stops him saying
“No Ash, if they go, they might get blown away too”, Ash agrees,
“We have to get Paracaw back” he says, the group agree, “We’ll cover more ground if we split up” Brock says and they agree to that too, Ash tells Pikachu and Herovor to help him and he tells Noctowl, Swellow and Staraptor to fly low over top, Brock sends out Moonky to help him, Ella and Cole go together with Purrlit and Pruddy, “Lets go!” Ash says.
Meanwhile Paracaw is lying in a bush scared, it opens its eyes to see that it’s safely on the ground, but is has no idea where it is, it looks around and gets even more scared as there is not a sound to be heard it goes to fly but one of its wings are injured, and it can’t fly, it starts walking along a path calling out, but there is no answer.
Meanwhile Ash Pikachu and Herovor are running through the forest calling out for Paracaw,
Brock and Sudowoodo look in some bushes while Moonky looks in the trees, while Ella and Cole call out and Pruddy and Purrlit sniff the ground, “Where could it be?” Ella says.
Ash Herovor and Pikachu stops to take a breath, “Paracaw where are you!” Ash shouts out, Swellow, Noctowl and Staraptor search above the trees but don’t find it anywhere.
Back to Paracaw, it’s walking along the path sad, when it hears a noise coming from the bushes it gets scared and freezes in fear, just then a group of Beedrill pop out of the bushes, Paracaw jumps and starts running as the Beedrill chase it.
Ella and Cole still searching hear a buzzing noise from up ahead, “What’s that sound?” Cole says, as Purrlit and Pruddy look around, Ella sees something coming their way, “Is that…is that Paracaw” she says looking to the horizon, she sees Paracaw running towards them, “it is Paracaw” Cole says, “But what’s that?” they see Paracaw running towards them, but it’s running from Beedrill, “AH BEEDRILL!” they shout, Paracaw runs into Ella’s arms and they start running, “Why are they chasing us!” Cole shouts, “I don’t know!” Ella shouts back as Pruddy and Purrlit run behind them, Purrlit turns its head as it runs and starts shooting out and ember attack, and Pruddy starts flicking it’s tail using a Swift attack trying to stop the Beedrill but it doesn’t work, just then Swellow swoops in the hits 3 Beedrill and Noctowl uses Confusion to stop 3 more Beedrill, and Staraptor uses Wing attack on 3 more, the Beedrill retreat and fly away, Ella, Cole, Purrlit and Pruddy stop and take a breath of relief, just then Ash and Brock arrives to find them, Paracaw jumps out of Ella’s arms and runs over to Ash and they hug, “I’m so glad your okay Paracaw” he says, Ella and Cole thank Swellow, Noctowl and Staraptor for saving them, Paracaw show Ash its injured wing “You hurt your wing” Ash says and Paracaw nods, Brock pulls out a Pokemon potion from his bag, “This should help” he says spraying it on it’s wing, healing it instantly, Paracaw smiles and jumps in the air and starts flying around again, “Looks like we’ve solved Paracaw’s flying problem” Ash says and everyone smiles.
The sun is setting in the sky and the group arrive back at the Pokemon center and they go inside, Ash goes over to the telephones and calls Prof. Oak, “Oh Ash” he says answering the phone, “I take it you solved the problem” he says, “Yes Prof. Oak, it was hard but we did it” Ash says, Prof. Oak sees Brock, Ella and Cole standing behind him, “Ah Brock it’s good to see you again” he says, “You too Professor” Brock replies, “And who might you be?” he asks Cole and Ella,
“…I’m…I’m Cole, it’s nice to meet you Professor Oak,” Cole says, “Nice to meet you, so Cole I take it you’re a new trainer, what do you want to achieve in being a trainer” Prof. Oak says,
“Yes I am a new trainer, and I want to be a gym leader like my family” he says,
“That’s great,” he says “And you?” he says to Ella, “Oh my name is Ella, nice to meet you Professor Oak” “You too Ella so what do you want to achieve” he asks,
“I want to be a top type coordinator” she says, “Good for you” Prof. Oak says, “Oh Ash I got a call from Misty and she says that she will be going to Waytide city for a while to be a judge in a fishing contest” Prof. Oak says, “That’s great, we’ll be sure to see her there!” Ash says,
Ash looks at Swellow, Noctowl and Staraptor who are standing beside him, “Thanks you guys for helping Paracaw” he says, “it was great seeing you”, the birds all smile at him, Ash returns them to their Pokeballs, and places them in a machine, “I’m sending them over now Professor Oak” Ash says and pushes a button, the pokeballs disappear and arrive in Prof. Oaks lab, “Got them Ash” he says, “Well we better get going now Prof. Oak” Ash says, “Yes have a good journey Ash and don’t forget to call every now and then” Prof. Oak says, just then Bayleef, Muk, Corphish, Bulbasaur and Gliscor pop up on the screen to say hi, “Wow guys nice to see you too!” Ash says with a big smile on his face, Brock also says hi, “Wow Ash are those your Pokemon?” Cole asks, “Yeah they are, they are my good friends” he says, “Well bye Prof. Oak, and see you guys later!” Ash says, and Professor Oak says bye.
Later on that night Ash, Pikachu, Herovor and Paracaw are sitting outside together, “Paracaw you were awesome today, I’m so glad you’re flying again” he says as the look into the night sky and see a shooting star, “Hey it’s a shooting star” he says, as the shooting star goes across the night sky.
Meanwhile Team Rocket are passed out sleeping from a hard days work.

The sun is setting in the sky and the group arrive back at the Pokemon center and they go inside, Ash goes over to the telephones and calls Prof. Oak, “Oh Ash” he says answering the phone, “I take it you solved the problem” he says, “Yes Prof. Oak, it was hard but we did it” Ash says, Prof. Oak sees Brock, Ella and Cole standing behind him, “Ah Brock it’s good to see you again” he says, “You too Professor” Brock replies, “And who might you be?” he asks Cole and Ella,
“…I’m…I’m Cole, it’s nice to meet you Professor Oak,” Cole says, “Nice to meet you, so Cole I take it you’re a new trainer, what do you want to achieve in being a trainer” Prof. Oak says,
“Yes I am a new trainer, and I want to be a gym leader like my family” he says,
“That’s great,” he says “And you?” he says to Ella, “Oh my name is Ella, nice to meet you Professor Oak” “You too Ella so what do you want to achieve” he asks,
“I want to be a top type coordinator” she says, “Good for you” Prof. Oak says, “Oh Ash I got a call from Misty and she says that she will be going to Waytide city for a while to be a judge in a fishing contest” Prof. Oak says, “That’s great, we’ll be sure to see her there!” Ash says,
Ash looks at Swellow, Noctowl and Staraptor who are standing beside him, “Thanks you guys for helping Paracaw” he says, “it was great seeing you”, the birds all smile at him, Ash returns them to their Pokeballs, and places them in a machine, “I’m sending them over now Professor Oak” Ash says and pushes a button, the pokeballs disappear and arrive in Prof. Oaks lab, “Got them Ash” he says, “Well we better get going now Prof. Oak” Ash says, “Yes have a good journey Ash and don’t forget to call every now and then” Prof. Oak says, just then Bayleef, Muk, Corphish, Bulbasaur and Gliscor pop up on the screen to say hi, “Wow guys nice to see you too!” Ash says with a big smile on his face, Brock also says hi, “Wow Ash are those your Pokemon?” Cole asks, “Yeah they are, they are my good friends” he says, “Well bye Prof. Oak, and see you guys later!” Ash says, and Professor Oak says bye.
Later on that night Ash, Pikachu, Herovor and Paracaw are sitting outside together, “Paracaw you were awesome today, I’m so glad you’re flying again” he says as the look into the night sky and see a shooting star, “Hey it’s a shooting star” he says, as the shooting star goes across the night sky.
Meanwhile Team Rocket are passed out sleeping from a hard days work.
