Episode 19: Twilight Fight
After being separated by angry Ursaring, and then finding Damon, the group make their way to the Crestlight Gym for Ash and Cole’s gym battles.
“Yes, finally I’m gonna get my 2nd gym medal!” Cole says with excitement as the group walk along the street, “Cole, you never listen” Ella says, “Hey, if I visualise myself winning the medal, then I’ll win the medal” he replies to Ella, Ella sighs,
“Okay guys where here” Brock says, and the group stop outside the big, dark, castle looking gym, “Lets go!” Cole says running into the gym leaving Ash, Brock and Ella outside, “So are you ready Ash?” Ella asks, “Of course I am, but I know not to be bigheaded when it comes to a serious battle like a gym battle” he replies, “So lets go” he says.
Inside the gym, Cole finds Damon and Sydney, “Hey guys, we’re ready for our battles!” he says, “Cole, hello, and I can tell you are ready” Sydney says, Ash, Brock and Ella arrive, “Hi” Ella says,
“So who is going to battle first?” Damon asks, “I will!” Cole says before Ash has a chance to open his mouth, “Okay then, I guess it will be Cole first” Ash says, “Okay then, lets go” Sydney says.
Meanwhile Team Rocket are lying on the grass, relaxing in the sun, James with Solshrub lying next to him, Jesse with Seviper curled up beside her, and Meowth lying next to Wobbuffet,
“Shouldn’t we be finding the twerps and stealing their pokemon” Meowth says, “Nope!” James says,
“I need to relax before the contest tomorrow” Jesse says, “as Chimecho floats around in the air.
Back inside the gym, Cole and Sydney are ready to battle, Cole standing on one side of the battlefield and Sydney on the other, while Ash, Ella, Brock and Damon watch on the side lines, “Are you ready?” Sydney asks, “I’ve been ready for a long time” Cole replies, “Okay this gym contest battle will be between Cole from Mossy Town, verses Sydney the gym contest leader, each trainer will use 3 pokemon each” says the referee, “Then lets go!” Cole says, “I’ll start!” Sydney says,
“Vennap go!” she says throwing a pokeball, a small black and yellow pokemon with green leafs at each side of it’s body emerges from the pokeball, “A Vennap” Cole says pulling out his Pokedex,
“Vennap, the Trap Pokemon, Vennap live in dark forests inside hollow tree trunks where they can hide from prey”
“Vennap is a grass type so, Purrlit I choose you!” Cole says throwing out Purrlit’s Pokeball onto the battlefield “Lets go Purrlit, Ember attack!” Cole says, Purrlit lets out a big blast of orange glowing bullets at Vennap, “Vennap stop it with Shadow Ball!” Sydney shouts out, Vennap focus’s on a Shadow ball attack and fires it off at Purrlit’s Ember, the shadow ball hits the ember causing a massive explosion, “Wow that was a strong Shadow Ball!” Brock says in amazement, “Whoa, this is going to be hard” Cole says to himself, “Purrlit use Iron Tail!” Cole calls out to Purrlit, Purrlit charges at Vennap and swings its glowing tail at Vennap striking it, “Yes! I got a hit!” Cole shouts, Vennap is hit and has taken damage, “Vennap, Mega Drain” Sydney calls out, Vennap opens it’s mouth and two vines come shooting out of it’s mouth and wraps around Purrlit, and Vennap starts draining energy out of Purrlit, “Purrlit no!” Cole shouts, Vennap’s health is restored and Purrlit has been weakened, “Purrlit…” Cole mumbles to himself,
“Even though Cole has the advantage, Vennap is beating him” Ella says,
“Purrlit use ember again!” Cole calls, Purrlit fires off another ember attack, “Vennap Shadow Ball again” Sydney says, Vennap fires off another shadow ball, “I knew she would do that” Cole says to himself, the shadow ball and ember collide and causes another explosion, causing smoke to fill the battlefield, , Vennap is trying to see through the smoke but can’t, “Now Purrlit Ember again!” Cole shouts out, Purrlit fires off another ember attack and this time it hits Vennap, causing a lot of damage,
“Quick attack now Purrlit” Purrlit runs up in a flash of light and hits Vennap sending to flying to the ground, Vennap is out of the battle, “Purrlit wins!” the referee calls out, “Yes Purrlit you did it!” Cole says as Purrlit jumps for joy, “Return Vennap” Sydney says holding out a pokeball and returns Vennap back into it “You did a very good job Vennap” she says to it, she tucks it away onto her belt, “Okay time for round 2” she says, she pulls out another pokeball and enlarges it, “Lets go Sneasel!” she says throwing the pokeball, in a flash of light out comes a Sneasel, “Sneasel is part Ice type, so Cole has the advantage again” Ella says, “I wouldn’t be so sure” Damon says,
“Okay Purrlit, this should be easy” Cole says, “Ember attack now!”, Purrlit fires off an ember attack at Sneasel, “Sneasel dodge it and use slash!” Sydney says, Sneasel jumps into the air and dodges the ember attack, and swoops down at Purrlit slashing at it with its sharp claws, “Purrlit!” Cole shouts out as Purrlit falls to the ground, Purrlit struggles to get back up, “Purrlit sure has a lot of courage” Sydney says, “Sneasel end this battle with another slash!” Sneasel runs up to Purrlit who has just manages to get to it’s feet and Sneasel strikes it again this time knocking Purrlit out of the battle, “Purrlit no!” Cole says as he runs up to it and holds it in his arms “Purrlit is out, Sneasel wins” the referee says, “That was really good Purrlit, so have a good long rest” Cole says holding Purrlit and returning it to it’s pokeball,
“Right round 3” Sydney says, “Okay” Cole says reaching for a pokeball on his belt, “Toron go!” he says, as Toron emerges from the pokeball, and lets out a growl, “Lets go!” Cole shouts, “Toron Take Down attack now!” he says, Toron runs up to Sneasel in a flash of light and charges at Sneasel,
“Sneasel stop Toron with Shadow Ball!” Sydney shouts, Sneasel charges a ball of black energy between it’s claws and launches it at Toron, and it hits, Toron is sent flying across the battlefield and hits the ground hard, “Toron!” Cole shouts, as the rest of the group gasp, Toron gets back up, “That’s it Toron don’t give up!” he says, “Lets use a Cannonball attack” Cole then calls out, Toron runs back up to Sneasel, “Sneasel lets end this fast, Ice Beam” Sydney says, Toron jumps into the air and curls up into a ball, and spins down at Sneasel, Sneasel releases a blast of blue light at Toron and it hits, Toron is frozen in a solid block of ice but it’s stills spinning, falling down at Sneasel, “Sneasel watch out!” Sydney calls, but Sneasel is too late and Toron, frozen in ice hits Sneasel, knocking both Toron and Sneasel out of the battle, “Toron and Sneasel are both out of the battle” the referee says, “Wow” Ash says, “that was weird, Sneasel’s own attack knocked both Toron and Sneasel out of the battle” Ella says,
Cole and Sydney return both Toron and Sneasel back to their Pokeballs,
“Right now it’s down to one on one” Cole says to Sydney, “Looks like it” she replies,
“Okay go my last pokemon Panthar!” she says throwing the pokeball, emerges a large black cat like pokemon with white stripes on it, “Rrrraalll” Panthar screeches, “A Panthar?” Ash says pulling out his Pokedex,
“Panthar, the Stealth Pokemon, Panthar is the evolved for of Blackat, Panthar has the ability to camouflage itself in shadows allowing it to be unseen”
“Wow so that’s a Panthar” Ella says, “It looks tough” Brock says,
“Sydney has had Panthar since it was a Blackat and they are very close” Damon tells the group,
“Okay I have one last choice, and it’s Wooper!” Cole says throwing out a pokeball, and out pops Wooper, “Lets go Wooper, Water Gun now!” he calls out, Wooper fills its mouth with water and fires a blast of Water at Panthar, “Panthar dodge it now” Sydney calls out, Panthar quickly jumps into the air in a flash, “Whoa that was fast” Ash say, “Panthar use Shadow Claw!” Sydney says,
Panthar dives down with a giant, black, claw shaped energy around it’s claws and slashes at Wooper, Wooper is hit and is sent flying across the battlefield, “Wooper!” Cole shouts with panic, Wooper struggles to get up, “You can do it Wooper!” the group cheer, Wooper gets up off the ground,
All of a sudden Wooper starts to glow a little bit. “What’s going on?” Cole says, “I think Wooper’s evolving” Ella says, Wooper lifts it head and spits up water like a fountain that falls back onto it,
“Wooper’s not evolving, it’s using Dew Drop” Damon says, “Dew Drop?” the group reply in wonder,
“Dew Drop is an attack that fully heals the user,” Damon tells them,
“Wow Wooper you learnt a new attack” Cole says as Wooper fully heals, “Wooper!” Wooper shouts,
Sydney and Panthar stand ready to start fighting again, “Panthar use Fury Swipes!” Sydney commands Panthar, Panthar runs up to Wooper with its claw out, “Dodge it Wooper, and use Slam” Cole shouts out, Wooper jumps out of the way of Panthar’s attack and slams it down to the ground using its tail,
Panthar hits the ground, “Good hit Wooper!” Cole praises Wooper, Panthar gets back up off the ground, “Hang in there Panthar, use Iron Tail” Panthar runs back up to Wooper and swings its glowing tail at Wooper, but Wooper dodges it again, “Wooper Water Gun!” Wooper fires another water gun and this time hits Panthar, but Panthar isn’t too phased by the attack, “Panthar it’s time” Sydney says,
“Time for what?” Ella says, “Panthar Void!” Sydney shouts out, Cole and Wooper await to find out what Void is, Panthar’s eyes turn black and dark energy starts coming from it’s entire body, “What’s going on?” Cole says, “Stand your ground Wooper” Cole says, a black ball of energy forms before Panthar and starts to grow bigger and bigger until Panthar fires it off at Wooper, “Wooper dodge it!” Cole says to Wooper, but Wooper can’t move, the dark energy ball hits Wooper and causes a big explosion, ‘WOOPER!” Cole calls out, as the smoke clears they find Wooper lying on the ground knocked out, and Panthar panting, “Wooper is out of the battle, Sydney and Panthar win the battle” the referee says, Cole walks up to Wooper and picks it up, “You did such a good job Wooper” he says to it, “What was that attack?” Ella asks Damon,
“That was a Void attack, it allows the user to draw in dark energy to release it in a powerful blast” Damon says, “How come Wooper couldn’t move?” Brock asks,
“Void also has a 100% hit, so the opponent has no chance of dodging it, but Void comes with a side effect, the users energy also gets drained”
Sydney walks up to Cole holding Wooper, “That was a very good battle Cole, you and your Pokemon have such a special bond” she tells him, “Thanks” he replies.
“So I guess the next battle will be Ash and Damon” Sydney says, “Sure is” Ash says, “And we’re ready”, Damon nods, “Okay, we’ll battle now” he says.
“The next battle between Ash and Damon will now commence” the referee shouts, “Each trainer will use 3 pokemon, first to knock out all 3 wins!”
“Okay Damon, I’m ready!” Ash says clutching his fist,
“Okay Ash, here is my first Pokemon, Murkrow go!” Damon says throwing a pokeball and Murkrow emerges from it,
“Okay then, Pikachu I choose you” Ash says as Pikachu jumps off his shoulder and onto the battlefield,
“Lets go Murkrow, Wing Attack!” Damon says, Murkrow flies into the air with its wings glowing,
“Pikachu use Thundershock!” Ash calls out, Pikachu charges up and sends a bolt of thunder at Murkrow, “Murkrow dodge it!” Damon says, Murkrow dodges the Thundershock and swoops down at Pikachu and hits it with its wings, “Wow that was a quick dodge and attack,” Brock says
“Whoa that was fast,” Ash says to himself, Pikachu gets up off the ground, “Pikachu use Iron Tail!” Ash calls out; Pikachu runs up to Murkrow and swings its glowing tail at it, “Murkrow use wing attack to stop it!” Damon calls out; Murkrow stops Pikachu’s Iron Tail with its wings, “Quick Pikachu Thunder!” Ash shouts out, Pikachu charges up as Murkrow holds its tail and shocks Murkrow, “Yes good one Pikachu!” Ash says with a grin on his face, Murkrow falls to the ground, knocked out,
“Murkrow is out of the battle, Pikachu wins!” the referee says, as the rest of the group rejoice for Ash and Pikachu, “Awesome job Pikachu!” Ash says to it as it stands proud, Damon returns Murkrow back into it’s Pokeball and thanks it, “Right Ash, here is Pokemon number 2” he says, he throws the pokeball out on to the battlefield and with a flash of light out comes a dog like Pokemon standing on 2 feet, “What’s this Pokemon?” Ash says pulling out his Pokedex,
“Beopup, the Puppy Pokemon, Beopup are often found in groups, fighting other groups of Beopup for the right of head pack”
“So a Beopup then, lets go Pikachu!” Ash says, “Pikachu Thundershock!” Ash calls out, Pikachu charges up and lets off a Thundershock attack at Beopup, “Beopup dodge it and use Shadow Claw” Damon says, Pikachu’s Thundershock hits the ground as Beopup dodges it and a dark claw like energy field surrounds Beopup’s paw as it strikes at Pikachu hitting it with powerful force “Pikachu!” Ash shouts as Pikachu falls to the ground, “Pikachu are you oaky?” Ash asks, Pikachu gets up off the ground with scratches all over it, “Lets do this Pikachu!” Ash says “Iron Tail now!” Ash says, Pikachu runs up to Beopup with its tail glowing and swings it at Beopup, “Dodge it again Beopup and use Slash!” Damon says, Beopup dodges the attack again and slashes at Pikachu, striking it again, Pikachu is sent flying across the ground, Pikachu is knocked out, “Pikachu no!” Ash says, as he picks it up, “Pikachu, you did so good!” he says, “Now take a rest” he says handing Pikachu to Ella,
“Right my next pokemon” Ash says putting his hand onto his belt to grab a pokeball, “I choose Mawclaw!” he says throwing the pokeball, and Mawclaw emerges, “Lets go Mawclaw, Wing Attack!” he shouts, Mawclaw swoops down at Beopup with its wings glowing and hits Beopup, “got ya!” Ash says as Beopup hits the ground, but it gets back up,
“Wow Beopup sure is strong” Ella says, “If Beopup is this strong, I wonder how strong Damon’s next pokemon will be” Cole says,
“Beopup use Shadow Claw!” Damon calls out, Beopup charges at Mawclaw it with its shadow claw attack, “Dodge it Mawclaw!” Ash says, Mawclaw flies into the air and Beopup misses it,
“Now Mawclaw use Mega Wing !” Ash shouts, Mawclaw flies around and it’s wings start glowing and growing bigger, Beopup watches as it flies in circles, “Now!” Ash shouts, Mawclaw then swoops down at high speed and strikes Beopup and causes massive damage, “Beopup!” Damon calls out as Beopup lies on the ground knocked out, “Beopup is out of the battle, Mawclaw wins!” the referee says, “Yay!” the group cheer, “Now Damon is down to his last Pokemon” Ella says, “Yes he is” Sydney replies, “But his last Pokemon is his strongest”,
Damon clutches a pokeball as Ash and Mawclaw wait to see what Damon’s last Pokemon is, “go!” he says throwing the pokeball, and in a flash of light, out comes a dark looking pokemon with diamond like features and claws, “What’s that” Cole says pulling out his Pokedex,
“Darcrys, the Dark Cave Pokemon, Darcrys has the ability to see in the dark, allowing it full advantage at night” the Pokedex says,
“So that’s Darcrys, I’m ready for it!” Ash says, “Lets go Mawclaw, Aerial Ace!” Ash calls out, Mawclaw flies into the air and swoops down at Darcrys and it just stands there, “Why isn’t Damon telling Darcrys to dodge the attack” Cole says with wonder, “You’ll see” Sydney replies,
Mawclaw strikes at Darcrys but Darcrys doesn’t budge, “What’s the deal!” Ash says,
Darcrys just stands there, “Why didn’t Aerial Ace work?” he wonders, “Darcrys’ skin is Diamond hard Ash, so Physical attacks won’t work on it” Brock shouts out, “So then how do I beat it?” Ash wonders, “Mawclaw use Diamond Darts!” Ash calls out, Mawclaw flies into the air again and flaps it winds and releases a wave of glowing darts at Darcrys, “Darcrys, you use Diamond Darts!” Damon calls out, Darcrys raises it’s arms and it’s claws start glowing, it slashes the air to send off the darts of light, the 2 diamond darts collide and cause a massive explosion that reflects back on Mawclaw and Darcrys, “Darcrys Solid Skin!” Damon calls out, Darcrys’ skin starts shining and the explosion hits it, but does no damage, but Mawclaw is hit and is send falling to the ground, “Mawclaw!” Ash calls out, Mawclaw struggles to get back up, “Lets finish this Darcrys, use Metal Claw!” Damon calls out, Darcrys runs up to Mawclaw and strikes it with its glowing claws, knocking Mawclaw out, “Mawclaw is out of the battle, Darcrys wins” the referee says, “Wow that Darcrys sure is strong” Brock says,
Ash returns Mawclaw back to it’s Pokeball and thanks it, “Thanks Mawclaw you did good, take a rest” he says, “Now the final battle” Cole says, “Herovor go!” Ash says as he throws the pokeball, and Herovor emerges, “Lets go Darcrys Shadow Claw!” Damon calls out, Darcrys jumps into the air and it’s claws turn black and grow, “Herovor dodge it and use Headbutt!” Ash shouts out, Darcrys slashes its claws at Herovor, and Herovor dodges the attack, and runs back at Darcrys with its head held low and it’s 2 rocks on it’s head glowing as it smashes into Darcrys, sending it flying across the battlefield, “Darcrys!” Damon calls out as it falls to the ground, but it gets back up,
“Good hit Herovor!” Ash says and Herovor smiles back at him, “Darcrys lets go, use Diamond Dart!” Damon calls out to Darcrys, Darcrys claws start glowing and is sends darts of light shooting out of it’s claws at Herovor, “Herovor dodge it!” Ash calls out, Herovor jumps into the air but it’s too late and it gets hit by the Diamond Darts, “Oh no!” the group call out, “Come on Herovor you can do it!” Ella calls out, Herovor hits the ground hard, but it gets back up, “come on Herovor I know you can do it” Ash says, Herovor doesn’t give up, it charges at Darcrys with a Headbutt attack, “Herovor!” Ash calls out as Herovor charges at Darcrys, “I didn’t tell it to use Headbutt!” Ash says to himself, Darcrys dodges Herovor’s Headbutt attack, “Darcrys Metal Claw!” Damon shouts out as Herovor passes Darcrys, Darcrys quickly turns around and strikes Herovor, “Herovor!” Ash calls out, Herovor falls to the ground, “Herovor listen to me, use Razor Leaf!” Ash calls out, Herovor fires off a razor leaf at Darcrys and hits it, Darcrys falls to the ground, “Herovor now use…” Ash says, but Herovor charges at Darcrys and uses Take Down hitting it hard and sending it flying across the battlefield and it hits the ground with a skid, “Herovor!” Ash calls out, Herovor gets a fiery look in its eyes and sends off another wave of Razor Leafs at Darcrys hitting it directly, Darcrys falls to the ground, knocked out,
“Darcrys is out of the battle, Ash and Herovor win the battle!” The referee shouts out, the group are shocked at the battle, “Wow…Herovor…sure was…acting strange” Ella says, “It sure was, why wasn’t it listening to Ash?” Cole says, Damon returns Darcrys to its pokeball, “Thank you Darcrys, have a long rest” he says to it.
Ash walks up to Herovor and crouches down to it’s level and look at it, “Herovor, why didn’t you listen to me” he asks it, Herovor looks at Ash wondering what it did wrong, it won the battle but Ash isn’t happy, its confused,
“Here you go Ash, you won the battle” Damon says handing Ash a badge shaped like a crescent, “Thanks Damon” Ash says as he strikes a pose holding the badge in the air, “I got the Crescent Badge!” he shouts.
After the battle it over the group are outside the gym with Damon and Sydney, “Thank you guys for the great battles” Damon says, “Also thank you for helping us back in Dusk Forest” Sydney says, “So where now from here?” Damon asks,
“Well there’s a contest in the Crestlight City so we’re going to stay for that” Ella says, “Good luck!” Sydney says, the group wave goodbye and head back to the pokemon center

“Quick attack now Purrlit” Purrlit runs up in a flash of light and hits Vennap sending to flying to the ground, Vennap is out of the battle, “Purrlit wins!” the referee calls out, “Yes Purrlit you did it!” Cole says as Purrlit jumps for joy, “Return Vennap” Sydney says holding out a pokeball and returns Vennap back into it “You did a very good job Vennap” she says to it, she tucks it away onto her belt, “Okay time for round 2” she says, she pulls out another pokeball and enlarges it, “Lets go Sneasel!” she says throwing the pokeball, in a flash of light out comes a Sneasel, “Sneasel is part Ice type, so Cole has the advantage again” Ella says, “I wouldn’t be so sure” Damon says,
“Okay Purrlit, this should be easy” Cole says, “Ember attack now!”, Purrlit fires off an ember attack at Sneasel, “Sneasel dodge it and use slash!” Sydney says, Sneasel jumps into the air and dodges the ember attack, and swoops down at Purrlit slashing at it with its sharp claws, “Purrlit!” Cole shouts out as Purrlit falls to the ground, Purrlit struggles to get back up, “Purrlit sure has a lot of courage” Sydney says, “Sneasel end this battle with another slash!” Sneasel runs up to Purrlit who has just manages to get to it’s feet and Sneasel strikes it again this time knocking Purrlit out of the battle, “Purrlit no!” Cole says as he runs up to it and holds it in his arms “Purrlit is out, Sneasel wins” the referee says, “That was really good Purrlit, so have a good long rest” Cole says holding Purrlit and returning it to it’s pokeball,
“Right round 3” Sydney says, “Okay” Cole says reaching for a pokeball on his belt, “Toron go!” he says, as Toron emerges from the pokeball, and lets out a growl, “Lets go!” Cole shouts, “Toron Take Down attack now!” he says, Toron runs up to Sneasel in a flash of light and charges at Sneasel,
“Sneasel stop Toron with Shadow Ball!” Sydney shouts, Sneasel charges a ball of black energy between it’s claws and launches it at Toron, and it hits, Toron is sent flying across the battlefield and hits the ground hard, “Toron!” Cole shouts, as the rest of the group gasp, Toron gets back up, “That’s it Toron don’t give up!” he says, “Lets use a Cannonball attack” Cole then calls out, Toron runs back up to Sneasel, “Sneasel lets end this fast, Ice Beam” Sydney says, Toron jumps into the air and curls up into a ball, and spins down at Sneasel, Sneasel releases a blast of blue light at Toron and it hits, Toron is frozen in a solid block of ice but it’s stills spinning, falling down at Sneasel, “Sneasel watch out!” Sydney calls, but Sneasel is too late and Toron, frozen in ice hits Sneasel, knocking both Toron and Sneasel out of the battle, “Toron and Sneasel are both out of the battle” the referee says, “Wow” Ash says, “that was weird, Sneasel’s own attack knocked both Toron and Sneasel out of the battle” Ella says,
Cole and Sydney return both Toron and Sneasel back to their Pokeballs,
“Right now it’s down to one on one” Cole says to Sydney, “Looks like it” she replies,
“Okay go my last pokemon Panthar!” she says throwing the pokeball, emerges a large black cat like pokemon with white stripes on it, “Rrrraalll” Panthar screeches, “A Panthar?” Ash says pulling out his Pokedex,
“Panthar, the Stealth Pokemon, Panthar is the evolved for of Blackat, Panthar has the ability to camouflage itself in shadows allowing it to be unseen”
“Wow so that’s a Panthar” Ella says, “It looks tough” Brock says,
“Sydney has had Panthar since it was a Blackat and they are very close” Damon tells the group,
“Okay I have one last choice, and it’s Wooper!” Cole says throwing out a pokeball, and out pops Wooper, “Lets go Wooper, Water Gun now!” he calls out, Wooper fills its mouth with water and fires a blast of Water at Panthar, “Panthar dodge it now” Sydney calls out, Panthar quickly jumps into the air in a flash, “Whoa that was fast” Ash say, “Panthar use Shadow Claw!” Sydney says,
Panthar dives down with a giant, black, claw shaped energy around it’s claws and slashes at Wooper, Wooper is hit and is sent flying across the battlefield, “Wooper!” Cole shouts with panic, Wooper struggles to get up, “You can do it Wooper!” the group cheer, Wooper gets up off the ground,
All of a sudden Wooper starts to glow a little bit. “What’s going on?” Cole says, “I think Wooper’s evolving” Ella says, Wooper lifts it head and spits up water like a fountain that falls back onto it,
“Wooper’s not evolving, it’s using Dew Drop” Damon says, “Dew Drop?” the group reply in wonder,
“Dew Drop is an attack that fully heals the user,” Damon tells them,
“Wow Wooper you learnt a new attack” Cole says as Wooper fully heals, “Wooper!” Wooper shouts,
Sydney and Panthar stand ready to start fighting again, “Panthar use Fury Swipes!” Sydney commands Panthar, Panthar runs up to Wooper with its claw out, “Dodge it Wooper, and use Slam” Cole shouts out, Wooper jumps out of the way of Panthar’s attack and slams it down to the ground using its tail,
Panthar hits the ground, “Good hit Wooper!” Cole praises Wooper, Panthar gets back up off the ground, “Hang in there Panthar, use Iron Tail” Panthar runs back up to Wooper and swings its glowing tail at Wooper, but Wooper dodges it again, “Wooper Water Gun!” Wooper fires another water gun and this time hits Panthar, but Panthar isn’t too phased by the attack, “Panthar it’s time” Sydney says,
“Time for what?” Ella says, “Panthar Void!” Sydney shouts out, Cole and Wooper await to find out what Void is, Panthar’s eyes turn black and dark energy starts coming from it’s entire body, “What’s going on?” Cole says, “Stand your ground Wooper” Cole says, a black ball of energy forms before Panthar and starts to grow bigger and bigger until Panthar fires it off at Wooper, “Wooper dodge it!” Cole says to Wooper, but Wooper can’t move, the dark energy ball hits Wooper and causes a big explosion, ‘WOOPER!” Cole calls out, as the smoke clears they find Wooper lying on the ground knocked out, and Panthar panting, “Wooper is out of the battle, Sydney and Panthar win the battle” the referee says, Cole walks up to Wooper and picks it up, “You did such a good job Wooper” he says to it, “What was that attack?” Ella asks Damon,
“That was a Void attack, it allows the user to draw in dark energy to release it in a powerful blast” Damon says, “How come Wooper couldn’t move?” Brock asks,
“Void also has a 100% hit, so the opponent has no chance of dodging it, but Void comes with a side effect, the users energy also gets drained”
Sydney walks up to Cole holding Wooper, “That was a very good battle Cole, you and your Pokemon have such a special bond” she tells him, “Thanks” he replies.
“So I guess the next battle will be Ash and Damon” Sydney says, “Sure is” Ash says, “And we’re ready”, Damon nods, “Okay, we’ll battle now” he says.
“The next battle between Ash and Damon will now commence” the referee shouts, “Each trainer will use 3 pokemon, first to knock out all 3 wins!”
“Okay Damon, I’m ready!” Ash says clutching his fist,
“Okay Ash, here is my first Pokemon, Murkrow go!” Damon says throwing a pokeball and Murkrow emerges from it,
“Okay then, Pikachu I choose you” Ash says as Pikachu jumps off his shoulder and onto the battlefield,
“Lets go Murkrow, Wing Attack!” Damon says, Murkrow flies into the air with its wings glowing,
“Pikachu use Thundershock!” Ash calls out, Pikachu charges up and sends a bolt of thunder at Murkrow, “Murkrow dodge it!” Damon says, Murkrow dodges the Thundershock and swoops down at Pikachu and hits it with its wings, “Wow that was a quick dodge and attack,” Brock says
“Whoa that was fast,” Ash says to himself, Pikachu gets up off the ground, “Pikachu use Iron Tail!” Ash calls out; Pikachu runs up to Murkrow and swings its glowing tail at it, “Murkrow use wing attack to stop it!” Damon calls out; Murkrow stops Pikachu’s Iron Tail with its wings, “Quick Pikachu Thunder!” Ash shouts out, Pikachu charges up as Murkrow holds its tail and shocks Murkrow, “Yes good one Pikachu!” Ash says with a grin on his face, Murkrow falls to the ground, knocked out,
“Murkrow is out of the battle, Pikachu wins!” the referee says, as the rest of the group rejoice for Ash and Pikachu, “Awesome job Pikachu!” Ash says to it as it stands proud, Damon returns Murkrow back into it’s Pokeball and thanks it, “Right Ash, here is Pokemon number 2” he says, he throws the pokeball out on to the battlefield and with a flash of light out comes a dog like Pokemon standing on 2 feet, “What’s this Pokemon?” Ash says pulling out his Pokedex,
“Beopup, the Puppy Pokemon, Beopup are often found in groups, fighting other groups of Beopup for the right of head pack”
“So a Beopup then, lets go Pikachu!” Ash says, “Pikachu Thundershock!” Ash calls out, Pikachu charges up and lets off a Thundershock attack at Beopup, “Beopup dodge it and use Shadow Claw” Damon says, Pikachu’s Thundershock hits the ground as Beopup dodges it and a dark claw like energy field surrounds Beopup’s paw as it strikes at Pikachu hitting it with powerful force “Pikachu!” Ash shouts as Pikachu falls to the ground, “Pikachu are you oaky?” Ash asks, Pikachu gets up off the ground with scratches all over it, “Lets do this Pikachu!” Ash says “Iron Tail now!” Ash says, Pikachu runs up to Beopup with its tail glowing and swings it at Beopup, “Dodge it again Beopup and use Slash!” Damon says, Beopup dodges the attack again and slashes at Pikachu, striking it again, Pikachu is sent flying across the ground, Pikachu is knocked out, “Pikachu no!” Ash says, as he picks it up, “Pikachu, you did so good!” he says, “Now take a rest” he says handing Pikachu to Ella,
“Right my next pokemon” Ash says putting his hand onto his belt to grab a pokeball, “I choose Mawclaw!” he says throwing the pokeball, and Mawclaw emerges, “Lets go Mawclaw, Wing Attack!” he shouts, Mawclaw swoops down at Beopup with its wings glowing and hits Beopup, “got ya!” Ash says as Beopup hits the ground, but it gets back up,
“Wow Beopup sure is strong” Ella says, “If Beopup is this strong, I wonder how strong Damon’s next pokemon will be” Cole says,
“Beopup use Shadow Claw!” Damon calls out, Beopup charges at Mawclaw it with its shadow claw attack, “Dodge it Mawclaw!” Ash says, Mawclaw flies into the air and Beopup misses it,
“Now Mawclaw use Mega Wing !” Ash shouts, Mawclaw flies around and it’s wings start glowing and growing bigger, Beopup watches as it flies in circles, “Now!” Ash shouts, Mawclaw then swoops down at high speed and strikes Beopup and causes massive damage, “Beopup!” Damon calls out as Beopup lies on the ground knocked out, “Beopup is out of the battle, Mawclaw wins!” the referee says, “Yay!” the group cheer, “Now Damon is down to his last Pokemon” Ella says, “Yes he is” Sydney replies, “But his last Pokemon is his strongest”,
Damon clutches a pokeball as Ash and Mawclaw wait to see what Damon’s last Pokemon is, “go!” he says throwing the pokeball, and in a flash of light, out comes a dark looking pokemon with diamond like features and claws, “What’s that” Cole says pulling out his Pokedex,
“Darcrys, the Dark Cave Pokemon, Darcrys has the ability to see in the dark, allowing it full advantage at night” the Pokedex says,
“So that’s Darcrys, I’m ready for it!” Ash says, “Lets go Mawclaw, Aerial Ace!” Ash calls out, Mawclaw flies into the air and swoops down at Darcrys and it just stands there, “Why isn’t Damon telling Darcrys to dodge the attack” Cole says with wonder, “You’ll see” Sydney replies,
Mawclaw strikes at Darcrys but Darcrys doesn’t budge, “What’s the deal!” Ash says,
Darcrys just stands there, “Why didn’t Aerial Ace work?” he wonders, “Darcrys’ skin is Diamond hard Ash, so Physical attacks won’t work on it” Brock shouts out, “So then how do I beat it?” Ash wonders, “Mawclaw use Diamond Darts!” Ash calls out, Mawclaw flies into the air again and flaps it winds and releases a wave of glowing darts at Darcrys, “Darcrys, you use Diamond Darts!” Damon calls out, Darcrys raises it’s arms and it’s claws start glowing, it slashes the air to send off the darts of light, the 2 diamond darts collide and cause a massive explosion that reflects back on Mawclaw and Darcrys, “Darcrys Solid Skin!” Damon calls out, Darcrys’ skin starts shining and the explosion hits it, but does no damage, but Mawclaw is hit and is send falling to the ground, “Mawclaw!” Ash calls out, Mawclaw struggles to get back up, “Lets finish this Darcrys, use Metal Claw!” Damon calls out, Darcrys runs up to Mawclaw and strikes it with its glowing claws, knocking Mawclaw out, “Mawclaw is out of the battle, Darcrys wins” the referee says, “Wow that Darcrys sure is strong” Brock says,
Ash returns Mawclaw back to it’s Pokeball and thanks it, “Thanks Mawclaw you did good, take a rest” he says, “Now the final battle” Cole says, “Herovor go!” Ash says as he throws the pokeball, and Herovor emerges, “Lets go Darcrys Shadow Claw!” Damon calls out, Darcrys jumps into the air and it’s claws turn black and grow, “Herovor dodge it and use Headbutt!” Ash shouts out, Darcrys slashes its claws at Herovor, and Herovor dodges the attack, and runs back at Darcrys with its head held low and it’s 2 rocks on it’s head glowing as it smashes into Darcrys, sending it flying across the battlefield, “Darcrys!” Damon calls out as it falls to the ground, but it gets back up,
“Good hit Herovor!” Ash says and Herovor smiles back at him, “Darcrys lets go, use Diamond Dart!” Damon calls out to Darcrys, Darcrys claws start glowing and is sends darts of light shooting out of it’s claws at Herovor, “Herovor dodge it!” Ash calls out, Herovor jumps into the air but it’s too late and it gets hit by the Diamond Darts, “Oh no!” the group call out, “Come on Herovor you can do it!” Ella calls out, Herovor hits the ground hard, but it gets back up, “come on Herovor I know you can do it” Ash says, Herovor doesn’t give up, it charges at Darcrys with a Headbutt attack, “Herovor!” Ash calls out as Herovor charges at Darcrys, “I didn’t tell it to use Headbutt!” Ash says to himself, Darcrys dodges Herovor’s Headbutt attack, “Darcrys Metal Claw!” Damon shouts out as Herovor passes Darcrys, Darcrys quickly turns around and strikes Herovor, “Herovor!” Ash calls out, Herovor falls to the ground, “Herovor listen to me, use Razor Leaf!” Ash calls out, Herovor fires off a razor leaf at Darcrys and hits it, Darcrys falls to the ground, “Herovor now use…” Ash says, but Herovor charges at Darcrys and uses Take Down hitting it hard and sending it flying across the battlefield and it hits the ground with a skid, “Herovor!” Ash calls out, Herovor gets a fiery look in its eyes and sends off another wave of Razor Leafs at Darcrys hitting it directly, Darcrys falls to the ground, knocked out,
“Darcrys is out of the battle, Ash and Herovor win the battle!” The referee shouts out, the group are shocked at the battle, “Wow…Herovor…sure was…acting strange” Ella says, “It sure was, why wasn’t it listening to Ash?” Cole says, Damon returns Darcrys to its pokeball, “Thank you Darcrys, have a long rest” he says to it.
Ash walks up to Herovor and crouches down to it’s level and look at it, “Herovor, why didn’t you listen to me” he asks it, Herovor looks at Ash wondering what it did wrong, it won the battle but Ash isn’t happy, its confused,
“Here you go Ash, you won the battle” Damon says handing Ash a badge shaped like a crescent, “Thanks Damon” Ash says as he strikes a pose holding the badge in the air, “I got the Crescent Badge!” he shouts.
After the battle it over the group are outside the gym with Damon and Sydney, “Thank you guys for the great battles” Damon says, “Also thank you for helping us back in Dusk Forest” Sydney says, “So where now from here?” Damon asks,
“Well there’s a contest in the Crestlight City so we’re going to stay for that” Ella says, “Good luck!” Sydney says, the group wave goodbye and head back to the pokemon center
