Episode 32: Saved By The Lavenbell
The sun is beaming down upon the group as they make their way along a dirt path surrounded by trees.
Ash walks out in front with Pikachu on his shoulder, “Whew it’s hot!” he says as he flaps his hat before his face trying to cool himself down and Pikachu does the same by waving its tail like a fan.
“We’re so close to Goldune desert,” says Cole.
The group arrive at the end of the path with one path going to the left and the other going to the right, Brock pulls out a map and sees where each path leads off.
Brock points to the map as they all look at it, “The path to the left leads to the cycling path that goes straight to Lushus Town, and the path to the right goes to Goldune Desert” he says,
“Well I guess we’re taking the path to the left” Ash says, “YES! The cycling path!” Cole says punching fist into the air, “now we get to cool down a bit” he says.
Moments later the group arrive to a building with a picture of a bike on the front of it, “Here’s the cycling path” Ash says, the group walk in the a man welcomes them and gives them four bikes, “Thanks!” they all say with a smile, the group head out the door to see a massive bike track wrapping around hills and disappearing into the horizon, “Wow” they all say in awe, “We should get to Lushus town in no time” Ash says as Pikachu jumps into the basket on his bike, “Good idea” Ella says, she lets her Pokemon out of their Pokeballs to ride with her, Lavenseed jumps in the basket and Pruddy holds on to her shoulder and Tweetot flutters beside her, Cole lets Purrlit out its Pokeball and it jumps into the basket, “Well lets get going!” he says jumping onto the bike and riding off
, “Wait for us Cole!” Ash says as they all jump on their bikes and ride off after him.
Meanwhile Team Rocket are flying above in their Meowth balloon, Jesse and James relax in the sun as the gentle breeze flows around them and Meowth watches over the side, “Looks like the twerps are heading to Lushus Town by bike” he says, “Chumps” Jesse says,
“Ahh, we get to relax up her in the breeze while they have to put their legs to work!” James says, “Haha we got it good!”
The group are riding along with the wind blowing around their faces and through their hair, “ahh this is so good!” Ella says as Tweetot flutters beside her, “I’m glad we decided to take the cycling path” Ash says,
“Makes so much of a difference then walking in the blistering sun” Brock says,
The group looks around and sees many Pokemon, Aipom playing in the trees, Beautifly and Dustox fly above them and Hamstar run around.
The group come around a bend to see Lushus town covered in trees and flowers, “Wow Lushus town is beautiful” Ella says, “Sure is!” Brock says, as the reach the end of the cycling road.
A few moments later the group arrive at the local Pokemon Center and are greeted by Nurse Joy, “Welcome to Lushus Town” she says with a smile as Chansey stand beside her.
Brock rushes over and grabs her hands “I accept your welcome” he says on one knee with hearts in his eyes, “and I welcome you into my heart” he says, in a flash of light Sudowoodo appears and hits Brock on the head “Sudo!” it says, it then drags him off with a lump on his head, Ash, Cole and Ella just stand there and watch, “Ahh, hi Nurse Joy” Ella says “is it too late to register for the next contest?” she asks,
“Why no dear, the next contest is in 4 days time,” she says, “Would you like to register?” Nurse Joy asks,
“Yes please!” Ella says as Nurse Joy works on the computer.
“4 Days” Ash says, “Looks like we’ll be here for a while then” he says, “Looks like it” Cole says.
“There you go dear, all registered” Nurse Joy says, “Thank you!” Ella says, “Now to get training!”
Ella rushes out the Pokemon Center’s doors, “Come on guys!” she shouts.
A few minutes later the group come across a massive field of flowers, “This looks like a good place to train” Ella says, she pulls out 3 Pokeballs and lets Pruddy, Lavenseed and Tweetot out of their Pokeballs.
“Right guys time to get training for the next contest” she says, “Lets start with attack combinations” she says to them all lined up, “While you guys do that, I’ll top up on supplies” Brock says.
“Right lets go guys!” Ella says “Pruddy use Quick Attack!” Ella shouts, Pruddy uses quick attack and dashes off in a speed of light, “Now use Glamorize!” she shouts while using Quick attack Pruddy uses Glamorize and sparkles of light appear and it turns into a big flash of sparkling light, “That’s so cool!” Ash shouts, “You can stop Pruddy, that was great!” Ella says, Pruddy stops at Ella’s feet, “Your getting good at those attack combinations” she says patting it on the head, “Tweetot you’re next” she says, and Tweetot nods, ready to give it a try.
“Lets try using Chatter and Gust together!” Ella says, Tweetot flies into the air and opens its mouth and lets out Chatter, Sound waves come flying out, “Now use Gust!” Ella says Tweetot uses Gust and the gust blows into the sound waves causing them to move to create different sounds, “wow Tweetot, you’re getting the hang of this!” she says, Tweetot stops and flutters down and sits on her head.
“Now last but not least Lavenseed!” Ella says, “I know you’ll do something good” she says to it, Lavenseed looks back and smiles,
“Lets try something new” she says, “Razor Leaf into the sky!” Ella says, Lavenseed does so and sends spinning Razor leafs into the air, “Now use Absorb on the Razor Leaf” Ella shouts, “Absorb on Razor Leaf” Cole says confused, Lavenseed does so and a red glow appears around it and ends a beam into the Razor leaf which starts absorbing its force bright red light starts flashing all around, “Wow that worked!” Cole says, “Looks like all of Ella’s Pokemon are born to be Contest stars!” Ash says,
Lavenseed stops and Ella grabs it and hugs it, “That was amazing Lavenseed!” she says squeezing it tighter,
“That was awesome!” Cole says, “You’ve got the appeals sorted, what about battling?” Ash says,
“Oh yeah” Ella says, “Could you help me with that Ash?” Ella asks, “Sure!” he replies,
“What about me!” Cole says, “Cole, don’t you remember I bet you the other day” Ella says with a grin, Cole gets mad “Only because you and Trissy knew each other, I didn’t know Rodney or how he battled!” Cole says, as his face turns red, “Hey calm down Cole” Ash says waving his hands, “Lets get started okay?” Ash says, Ella nods.
Ash stands opposite Ella “1 on 1?” Ash says, “Okay!” Ella says,
Ash pulls out a Pokeball, “Go Salatad!” he says throwing the pokeball and out comes Salatad,
“Lavenseed I choose you!” Ella says as Lavenseed jumps out onto the battlefield.
“Lets go Salatad, Aqua Jet!” Ash shouts, Salatad covers itself in water and charges at Lavenseed,
“Quick dodge it Lavenseed and use Razor Leaf!” Ella shouts, Lavenseed dives to the side of Salatad’s Aqua Jet and swings its leafs on its head to create a Razor Leaf that hits Salatad, “Salatad Poison Tail!” Ash shouts, Salatad jumps back in and hits Lavenseed with its Poison Tail, Lavenseed goes flying through the air and across the ground, “Oh no Lavenseed!” Ella says, “Now use Double Slap!” Ash shouts,
Salatad jumps over to Lavenseed and starts slapping it with its tail, Lavenseed falls to the ground this time knocked out, “Oh no Lavenseed” Ella says.
Ella walks over to Lavenseed and picks it up, “maybe I’ll use you for the appeal round, is that okay?” she asks, Lavenseed smiles and nods.
“Thanks Ash” Ella says walking over to Ash, “No problem” he says.
Brock comes back with supplies and lunch. The group all sit around the picnic table and eat.
Meanwhile Team Rocket are lying in a field of flowers “This is paradise” Jesse says lying spread out in the flowers, James sits with Solshrub absorbing the sunlight, “Solshrub agrees” he says looking at Solshrub, “But shouldn’t we be catching Pikachu?” James says,
Jesse stretches her arms into the air and yawns “If we relax now, we’ll have plenty of energy for when we do get Pikachu” Jesse says, “I suppose” James says, “We’ll we should at least find out where they are” he says.
Back with the group.
Ella is training again, this time she is having a double battle with Cole, Cole is using Purrlit and Toron and Ella is using Pruddy and Tweetot, “Go Toron Rollout!” Cole shouts, Toron jumps into the air and curls into a ball and starts spinning straight towards Pruddy and Tweetot, “Purrlit use Ember!”
“Pruddy use Quick Attack to dodge!” Ella shouts, “Tweetot use Chatter!”
Pruddy dodges Toron’s Rollout and Tweetot uses Chatter on Purrlit’s Ember attack causing it to break apart in mid air.
“Pruddy use Quick Attack in a circle!” Ella shouts, Pruddy does so and runs around Toron and Purrlit in a flash of light, “Use Glamorize!”
Pruddy does so and sparkles of light start flashing around in the circle, blinding Toron and Purrlit, “Oh no” Cole says, “Tweetot!” Ella shouts, and from above Tweetot appears “Use Chatter!” Ella shouts, Tweetot does so and releases a blast of sound waves at Toron and Purrlit knocking them down to the ground,
“Okay Ella you win!” Cole shouts, Pruddy and Tweetot stop attacking, Toron and Purrlit lay on the ground, not out, but Cole thinks that losing to her again would really be embarrassing.
“Ella your getting really good at those attack combinations” Ash says, “Yeah, I’m sure your gonna win the contest” Brock says,
“Hey Cole, maybe you could learn a thing or two from attack combinations” Brock says, “Attack combinations aren’t only limited to contests you know, I’ve used a few techniques I’ve seen in a contest before” Ash says,
“Mmm…maybe I will try that” Cole says, “But I’ll do it my own way, I don’t need Ella breathing down my back on how to do it” he says, “Haha very funny Cole” Ella says,
Suddenly from out of nowhere a giant mechanical hand comes from the sky and grabs Pikachu, Purrlit, Toron, Pruddy and Tweetot, “What’s going on!” Ash shouts
In the air they see Team Rocket in their Meowth balloon with a giant mechanical hand coming from beneath it hold their Pokemon, “Hahahaha” Team Rocket laugh, and they say their motto.
“Team Rocket, let our Pokemon go!” Ella shouts, “Oh, Okay” Jesse says, Team Rocket laugh again, “Just because you asked, did you really think we would!” James says,
“Fine I’ll make you!” Ella says, she pulls out a Pokeball and throws it, “Lavenseed use Razor Leaf!” she shouts, Lavenseed appears from the pokeball and uses Razor Leaf on the Mechanical hand, but it does no damage, Team Rocket laugh again, “As if that puny Lavenseed will do anything” James says,
Jesse and James both throw a Pokeball out and Seviper and Carnivine appear, “Seviper show her whose boss, Poison Tail!”
“Go Carnivine Vine Whip!” James shouts,
Seviper slashed Lavenseed with its Poison Tail and Carnivine hits it with Vine Whip, “Lavenseed no!” Ella shouts as Lavenseed falls to the ground, Ella runs over to it and picks it up, “We’ll handle them Ella” Ash says, “Salatad go!” Ash says throwing a Pokeball and out comes Salatad, “Moonky I choose you!” Brock says throwing a Pokeball and out comes Moonky, “Go Quagsire!” Cole shouts, and out comes Quagsire.
“Go Salatad Aqua Jet!” Ash shouts, Salatad uses Aqua Jet on Seviper, but Carnivine jumps in with Vine Whip and grabs Salatad throwing it to the ground, “Moonky use Fury Swipes!” Brock shouts, Moonky jumps into attack with its paws glowing, Seviper uses Poison Tail to block Moonky’s attack,
Ella and Lavenseed stand back and watch the battle, Lavenseed looks at Ella and sees that she is worried about Pruddy and Tweetot, Lavenseed struggles to get out of Ella’s arms, “Lavenseed your too weak to battle them” She says, Lavenseed struggles more and jumps out of her grasp, “Lavenseed!” Ella shouts as Lavenseed runs into the battle, “Come back!” Ella shouts, Lavenseed jumps into the air and starts glowing,
“Huh!” the group all says as Lavenseed starts to grow a little and change shape, “Lavenseed’s evolving!” Ash shouts,
Lavenseed stops evolving and it appears as a new Pokemon, Lavenbell, Lavenbell’s 4 leafs on its head start to glow a pink shade as it swings the leafs, a wave of glowing leafs come flying from it, “That’s Magical Leaf!” Brock says, the magical leaf hits the Mechanical hand holding the Pokemon and breaks it completely off, “NO!” Team Rocket shout in panic, the hand opens up as it falls to the ground, “Moonky, Psychic!” Brock shouts, Moonky uses Psychic to stop Pikachu, Purrlit, Toron, Pruddy and Tweetot from falling to the ground, the mechanical hand hits the ground sending a cloud of dust into the air,
Team Rocket can’t see anything until the dust clears and they see the group with their Pokemon, all having angry looks on their faces, Lavenbell stands out in front, “Lets go!” Ella shouts, “Lavenbell Magical Leaf!” she shouts,
Lavenbell swings it’s glowing leafs again and sends out another wave of glowing leafs at the mechanical arm
causing it to explode sending Team Rocket blasting off.
Cole pulls out his Pokedex.
“Lavenbell, the Scent Pokemon, Lavenbell uses the leafs on its head to send out beautiful smelling aromas that can be smelt from great distances”
Ella, Pruddy and Tweetot walk over to Lavenbell and Ella bends down to talk to it
, “Wow Lavenbell, you evolved to help us” she says, “Thank you so much!”
The group all smile and thank Lavenbell.
The sun is setting in the sky as the group makes their way back to the Pokemon Center, “What a day!” Cole says stretching his arms into the air, “I can’t wait to sleep”
“One day down and just 3 more days to go until the contest” Ella says as Lavenbell walks at her side.

The group finally makes it to Goldune Desert when they meet a boy named (Quaggie’s Trainer), who is looking for rare fossils that are said to be somewhere in the desert, Team Rocket plan to find those fossils and revive the Pokemon and give them to the boss.

Seviper slashed Lavenseed with its Poison Tail and Carnivine hits it with Vine Whip, “Lavenseed no!” Ella shouts as Lavenseed falls to the ground, Ella runs over to it and picks it up, “We’ll handle them Ella” Ash says, “Salatad go!” Ash says throwing a Pokeball and out comes Salatad, “Moonky I choose you!” Brock says throwing a Pokeball and out comes Moonky, “Go Quagsire!” Cole shouts, and out comes Quagsire.
“Go Salatad Aqua Jet!” Ash shouts, Salatad uses Aqua Jet on Seviper, but Carnivine jumps in with Vine Whip and grabs Salatad throwing it to the ground, “Moonky use Fury Swipes!” Brock shouts, Moonky jumps into attack with its paws glowing, Seviper uses Poison Tail to block Moonky’s attack,
Ella and Lavenseed stand back and watch the battle, Lavenseed looks at Ella and sees that she is worried about Pruddy and Tweetot, Lavenseed struggles to get out of Ella’s arms, “Lavenseed your too weak to battle them” She says, Lavenseed struggles more and jumps out of her grasp, “Lavenseed!” Ella shouts as Lavenseed runs into the battle, “Come back!” Ella shouts, Lavenseed jumps into the air and starts glowing,
“Huh!” the group all says as Lavenseed starts to grow a little and change shape, “Lavenseed’s evolving!” Ash shouts,
Lavenseed stops evolving and it appears as a new Pokemon, Lavenbell, Lavenbell’s 4 leafs on its head start to glow a pink shade as it swings the leafs, a wave of glowing leafs come flying from it, “That’s Magical Leaf!” Brock says, the magical leaf hits the Mechanical hand holding the Pokemon and breaks it completely off, “NO!” Team Rocket shout in panic, the hand opens up as it falls to the ground, “Moonky, Psychic!” Brock shouts, Moonky uses Psychic to stop Pikachu, Purrlit, Toron, Pruddy and Tweetot from falling to the ground, the mechanical hand hits the ground sending a cloud of dust into the air,
Team Rocket can’t see anything until the dust clears and they see the group with their Pokemon, all having angry looks on their faces, Lavenbell stands out in front, “Lets go!” Ella shouts, “Lavenbell Magical Leaf!” she shouts,
Lavenbell swings it’s glowing leafs again and sends out another wave of glowing leafs at the mechanical arm
causing it to explode sending Team Rocket blasting off.Cole pulls out his Pokedex.
“Lavenbell, the Scent Pokemon, Lavenbell uses the leafs on its head to send out beautiful smelling aromas that can be smelt from great distances”
Ella, Pruddy and Tweetot walk over to Lavenbell and Ella bends down to talk to it
, “Wow Lavenbell, you evolved to help us” she says, “Thank you so much!”The group all smile and thank Lavenbell.
The sun is setting in the sky as the group makes their way back to the Pokemon Center, “What a day!” Cole says stretching his arms into the air, “I can’t wait to sleep”
“One day down and just 3 more days to go until the contest” Ella says as Lavenbell walks at her side.
