Rough, Tough, Tyrogue!
Back in the beautiful region of Sinnoh, a familiar face with dark clothes and purple hair covering his face walks alone down a road, staring at the ground, his name is Paul.
Paul arrives at a house with a ‘Pokemon Daycare’ sign written on the front of the house, Paul enters and is greeted by Reggie, his brother, a Pokemon breeder.
“Paul, welcome home” he says to him, Paul looks at his brother and says nothing, dropping his bag onto the ground.
Paul pulls out 6 pokeballs from his belt and hands them to his brother, “Take these” he says handing them to him, “Of course” Reggie says taking the Pokeballs, “I’ll take them outside to relax” he says, Paul turns away “I don’t care” he says as he walks away.
Outside Reggie lets out all of Paul’s Pokemon, Torterra, Honchkrow, Weavile, Ursaring, Magmortar and Gliscor, Reggie greats them and welcomes them home, they all smile and Reggie tells them to go and relax, Paul’s Electibuzz and Ninjask come over to welcome the Pokemon back too.
Back inside Paul lies down on his bed staring at the ceiling, Reggie knocks on the door and walks in, “I’m sorry about you’re loss at the Sinnoh league” he says, Paul doesn’t look at him and just lies there, he says “If my Pokemon were stronger, I would have won…” he says, Reggie looks a little frustrated and decided not to say anything, Paul then tells Reggie that he wants to be alone, Reggie understands and walks out of his room.
The next day Paul walks outside to see his Pokemon playing together, his face looks emotionless,
Reggie asks what Paul is thinking, Paul still staring at his Pokemon says, “Rikoto…” Reggie looks at him strangely, “What about Rikoto?” he asks, Paul looks at him and says, “I’m going there…” Reggie replies, “That’s great! Which Pokemon do you want to take?” Paul looks at him again,
“None of them…” all his Pokemon look at him with sadness, “Why not?” Reggie asks,
Paul looks away and says “Because their still too weak…” Reggie looks at Paul with disappointment, Reggie then tries to take Paul’s mind of his current Pokemon by telling him something that was in the news, “Paul if you’re looking for a strong Pokemon I know where one is” he says, Paul looks at him, “Where…”
Reggie tells him “A Tyrogue that has been picking fights with trainers and Pokemon to find a worthy opponent, many trainers have battled the Tyrogue hoping to catch it, but they have all lost the battle, so Tyrogue is still looking”
“Where is Tyrogue now” Paul asks, Reggie tells him that is was last seen by the picnic area in the forest, Paul walks over and gets one of his pokeballs from the shelf and returns Gliscor back to its pokeball, “I’ll be back soon” he says walking away.
Paul walks down a road and comes to the entrance to the forest, he goes inside to search for the renegade Tyrogue.
Inside the forest Tyrogue is battleling a trainer with a Leafeon, Tyrogue runs up to Leafeon and hits it with a Focus Punch, knocking out the Leafeon, the trainer runs up to Leafeon sad and returns it to it’s pokeball the young boy runs off crying, the Tyrogue shrugs it off as another useless battle.
The young trainer runs past Paul sobbing, Paul stops him and asks if he just lost to Tyrogue, the young boy nods and points out the way to where Tyrogue is, the boy then runs off again.
Paul now knowing where Tyrogue is wants to find it and battle it, then hopefully catch it.
Paul walks out of the bushes to a clearing to find Tyrogue lying on the grass with it’s hands behind it’s head, Paul calls out to Tyrogue, the Tyrogue gets up and looks at Paul, “I want to battle you Tyrogue” he says, the Tyrogue smirks and stands with its fists in the air, Paul gets ready to battle, but a big gust of wind interrupts them and Tyrogue is snatched up by a big metal claw, Paul doesn’t know what is going on, just then 3 silhouettes stand before him, and to his surprise it’s Team Rocket, but not Jesse and James, it’s Butch and Cassidy and Raticate!
“Hey, let that Tyrogue go!” he shouts at them, Cassidy laughs at him, “Or what…” she says, “Who are you” Paul shouts at them, “I’m Butch” Butch says posing, “And I’m Cassidy” Cassidy says posing beside him, and Raticate jumps between them, “And we’re Team Rocket” they say together, “Team Rocket…you mean there’s more than the other 2” Butch and Cassidy look at Paul confused, “Other 2?” they say, “You know the one with the talking Meowth” Paul says, Cassidy gets mad, “Are you talking about Jesse and James!” she shouts at him, “Yeah…whatever, look Hutch, Cassidy, let that Tyrogue go I was just about to battle it” Paul says angrily, “It’s BUTCH!” Butch shouts back, “And we’re not gonna give it to you, this is now Team Rockets Tyrogue” he says, Paul gets mad and throws out a pokeball and Gliscor comes out, Butch and Cassidy laugh and both throw out a pokeball each, Butch’s new Swallot and Cassidy’s Sableye, while Tyrogue watches from above trying to get free from the machines claw, Cassidy tells Sableye to use Night Shade, Sableye jumps up and uses Night Shade, Paul tells Gliscor to use Nigh Slash to stop the attack, Gliscor uses Night slash and slashes Sableye’s attack, Paul then tells Gliscor to use Iron tail on Swallot, Gliscor flies in and whacks Swallot sending it flying into Sableye, Butch and Cassidy are scared, Butch tells Swallot to use Sludge Bomb, Swallot uses Sludge Bomb, But Gliscor dodges it and Paul tells it to use Wing Attack, Gliscor swoops in and hits Swallot sending to flying into Sableye and then into Butch and Cassidy, Paul then tells Gliscor to set Tyrogue free, Gliscor flies up and hits the metal claw with a Iron Tail, breaking it apart, Tyrogue jumps to the ground, Butch and Cassidy lie underneath Sableye and Swallot, Tyrogue stands before them and powers up a Focus Punch and hits them into their machine causing it to explode, sending Butch and Cassidy blasting off.
Now that Team Rocket are gone Paul and Tyrogue’s battle can start.
Tyrogue stands across from Paul and Gliscor, Paul starts the battle with a Iron Tail, Gliscor flies in the goes to hit Tyrogue, but Tyrogue jumps away, Paul comments on Tyrogue’s speed, Tyrogue then uses a Ice Punch, Paul tells Gliscor to fly up, Gliscor flies up and dodges the attack, Paul then tells Gliscor to use Aerial Ace, Gliscor swoops down and hits Tyrogue, doing some damage to it, Tyrogue gets back up, “This is one strong Tyrogue” Paul says to himself, Tyrogue charges at Gliscor with a Focus Punch, Gliscor gets hit and falls to the ground, Paul shouts at Gliscor to get up, Gliscor looks at Paul and struggles to get up, but does, Tyrogue goes to finish the battle with another Focus Punch, But Gliscor flies up, causing Tyrogue to miss, Gliscor then flies down, Paul watches and tells Gliscor to use Aerial Ace, Gliscor flies down and hits Tyrogue sending it falling to the ground, Paul pulls a Pokeball out of his pocket and enlarges it, the throws the pokeball at Tyrogue and it gets sucked it…the pokeball rocks back and forth, back and forth, back and forth…’Duwoon!” the pokeball sounds and Tyrogue is captured!
Paul walks over to the Pokeball and picks it up, he scans the pokeball with his Pokedex and sees that Tyrogue has massive power and strength and decides to keep it.
Paul then goes over to Gliscor who is puffing on the ground, Paul looks at it, as it looks back, Paul says “Thank you” and Gliscor smiles, Paul returns Gliscor back to it’s pokeball.
Paul arrives back home and Reggie greets him he asks how it went, Paul shows him a Pokeball and that’s all, he hands Gliscor’s pokeball back to Reggie and heads up stairs, Reggie looks at him confused.
Paul in his room starts packing things into his bag, he sees that the clothes he is wearing is all dirty and torn, he opens his wardrobe and pulls out some new clothes.
Down stairs Reggie is feeding the Pokemon outside, Paul walks out in his new outfit and says “I’m leaving now” Reggie and all the Pokemon look at him, Reggie asks “I guess you’re leaving for Rikoto”, Paul nods and turns around and walks away, but he does do a slight wave as he goes, Reggie smiles and the Pokemon smile too.
Paul now leaves for Rikoto.
